I think these "glitches" are an an absolute disgrace. I, for one, would like to know EXACTLY what Labour are going to do about it. They need to produce an in depth manifesto of their solution to it
It's gone from 'the government have done nothing that bad' to 'All politicians are as bad as each other' when they became indefensible. The 'world class Covid reaction' has been used to excuse Boris, Sunak and the entire government .... ... Robert Gros,whose company supplied the NHS with millions of apparently unusable surgical gowns, earned £47m in dividends last year. During the Covid pandemic, Cambridge-based Chemical Intelligence won £162m of government contracts to provide personal protective equipment. World class profits for Boris's pals more like.
What they are "defending" is the fact that their votes allowed these criminals to plunder the public purse for their own ends.
Their problem is that, like Brexit, having defended Boris and his pals they can either admit it's been poor or carry on finding ever more contrived ways to defend it all. When all else fails they trot out the 'They're all as bad as each other' shyte. Brexit and this government may turn out to be wonderful ... ... but after all these years it's hard to believe.
Protected characteristics age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. All protected by law from inequality and discrimination. But maybe that law doesn’t count if you are a migrant not in your country of origin. But hang on shouldn’t migrants or exiles if that’s the chosen language be compliant and respectful of the way of life of the host country. I read it on this thread.
That's a decision you have to make as an individual when one protected characteristic rubs against another (bearing in mind this is only a thing in the western world). If you're happy with the way women are persecuted because of a religion that hasn't moved an inch forwards since Pontius was a pilot that's between you and your 'virtuous' conscience. That means that by the rules set by my betters here, you hate women. I don't set these rules, you do. I just play by them. I remain happy with my choice of words and thoughts.
Another poll now suggests a majority think Brexit was bad. Even in heavily brexit voting regions the tide is turning. Only the lib dems seem committed to a closing of the relationship. Time for them to establish themselves as the european partner country.
The problem there is we're still having the arguments as if it's July 2016. The EU have moved on and so have we to an extent. I suspect that if we got a big more granular with the questions we'd find out that plenty of Brexit voters still agree with the principle but also agree that the implementation has been a complete shambles. Now that the architects on both sides are long gone, approaches are softening.
