I know that if we beat Liverpool by ten I will be staying up. I am sure Mrs Loading would be pleased.

The last time we see James in a Southampton shirt will make me very sad.

He's been a great servant to the club but now is time time for him to move on hopefully with best wishes from all Saints fans.

I have a feeling no one will pay our valuation for JWP, unless he asks to leave and kicks up a fuss, he may remain next season.

What’s his valuation in reality? Teams interested will probably be spurs( Levy will want him cheap) West Ham won’t pay either …..the only ones would be Newcastle IMO.

Levy is stingy but they have just had a poor season so that might spur them on to spend a bit and make some changes to their team. West Ham do spend? Plus they will have loads of money and a Declan Rice shaped hole in their midfield. Aston Villa spend too. Unfortunate he's had a poorer season and hasn't scored a free kick for ages (although that's not his fault, we just don't win free kicks anywhere near the opposition box).

£32m to West Ham is my guess.

Seen quite a few articles (on Newsnow admittedly) where ex West Ham players are coming out of the woodwork “urging” them not to sign JWP as he’s not good enough.

Don’t think they are wrong but would be nice to possibly get an inflated fee if they have the Rice money

He is too good for the championship I think we can all agree on that, he is in his footballing prime age wise and SR will cash in without a doubt. There is no chance he will stay as loyalty in football does not exist sadly.
It will be painful to see him in other colours next season though.

JWP is on a long contract so expect nearer £40m than £30m unless he puts in a transfer request then we can lower the fee as we don’t have to pay up his contract

is he really though? Without the dead balls this season what team would be better off with him? I think he got handed a **** stick to grab this season but last season he was just the same, he’s a football buzzkill in open play. I hope we get good money when he goes but I kinda agree w the west ham pundits. He’s no Declan rice.

Will be a joyous occasion for both clubs no doubt with neither having anything to play for

If this match is shown any time other than last on Sunday's MoTD, it's because an alien spacecraft lands on the centre circle. Even then, we'd still be after Man City, and Man Utd

Think game could be anything. 2 teams nothing to play for. Coukd be a dull 0-0. Could be a thrilling end to end with no pressure on either.

Could be shed load of changes and be any such score. Grand scheme doesn’t really matter.

Shame you guys gone down, out of the 4 down there, saints always been favoured. Seems like the risk on youth didn’t quite pay off but might do you well next year if your experienced one’s step up and see them through those games.

Seen we’ve been linked with Lavia. Not sure how much truth but seems like he was one of the bright spots for you guys this year?

Cheers La, yeah with Lavia you would be signing a top, top player for the next decade, probably a future captain. The fact that our manager said that he was not impressed with a 19 year old in his first season at senior level in the PL is baffling to me, he should win our POTS easily as one of the very few lights in a dark season.
