Very dramatic post from Salah. Not been a great season for number of reasons but it also shows just how far those teams come. Hopefully just adds to the motivation for next year. The core is there and we have some exciting players, it’s just being more consistent through the season. For all the poor games, we still had some crackers including demolishing United 7-0. 15/18 points in the CL.
Understandable that some of us are looking for the silver lining but Salah surely hit the nail on the head. Ultimately it is about the outcome of the whole season. We’ve not got CL when we really should have whilst we had all the tools to achieve that objective. From being almost the equal of City on the pitch and getting two domestic cups and nearly the quadruple, we’ve fallen off the cliff literally. The Europa is no consolation. I do understand though that many of our fans want to look at the positives. The reality is that it’s been a very poor season. Some have even said because although we ****ed up mid season we’ve done miraculously in the last few weeks to get the Europa and that almost redeems everything. No. Viewed as a whole, we massively underachieved and in the run in we were praying Newcastle and Man United to collapse but they were too far ahead and could even afford to lose or draw a few matches.
Yeah, although Matth was also a twat. I've met many kids on the autism spectrum and almost all of them are super nice and pleasant, not at all like the stereotype that seems to exist. Matth wasn't like he is because of the autism, he was like he is because he was just unpleasant.
In my profession I've come across all types on the spectrum, some right nasty cases as well, so it's hard to say how much it affected Matth's personality. I kind of agree though he was a dickhead. We all have them, Astro put in a shift for you lot. Tbh I do miss them both to a certain extent, you need personalities and it takes all sorts.
I don't know but I remember someone saying he may have passed away during Covid but I hope that's just conjecture and that he's ok.
I don't think anyone is trying to talk up this season - it's clearly been a failure. But it's done now, and can't be undone. If I'm looking for positives it's for the future, rather than trying to find them in the past. The season is a bit of a disaster, but that doesn't mean the club is in a mess - I can't relate to those who think it can only go downhill from here.
Another theory... He changed device, got a new phone, didn't know his password and couldn't get back in. Email for verification of new accounts/for resetting forgotten password, etc is down more than it's up.
I did some volunteer work for a weeklong summer event for kids with autism five or six years ago (not severe autism, high functioning autism) and one thing that stood out to me was how nice and pleasant most attending were.
and when they got home they told their parents about this middle aged loon called Milk who they treated with kid gloves .
Hope that's not true. Miss Astro on here, used to frustrate the **** out of you when you caught him out/proved him wrong and he just ignored it, the ****
I think that is often a factor in it from my experience. At the end of the day their behaviour is them communicating in one way or another. So if they cant verbally express themselves they do so physically. Not sure how that links to Matth but then again I'm no expert.
This Fair play to him though he never cursed or was abusive to anyone. I hope he's alright and comes back one day.
