Police END their investigation into the mid-World Cup break-in at Raheem Sterling's £6m home after no arrests - and having denied England star's spokesperson's claims that his family were at home during an armed raid.

Just gave me an excuse to look at the highlights again. Do you think he should have got up higher? I’m not convinced. I’m with Chazz on this one, best ever keeper in a City shirt. And loved his trademark follow though when booting the ball clear and leaving the forward (trying to close him down), in a heap on the floor.

I'm with JexA on this. As I recall he took a little step to his right just as the kick was taken, put him in the wrong position to save to his left.

Man U beating Chelsea 1-0 at present but a good open game, could've been 3-3. Got Man U to win 3-1 at 11/1

Hadn't he been out with a stomach injury previously. I'm not sure he was 100% fit

Liverpool mate said if there had been 3 more games Liverpool would of overtaken Man Utd. Guess they need 41 games now.

I thought it was his back, but might’ve been his kidney, which would connect with a back issue I think.

Your point about getting up higher is why it went in. I was seated level with the 18 Yd box on the side of the goal it went in. When Cazorla stuck it, McGregor went up a fraction too late, and I knew it was a goal. Whether he was unsighted, but if so he set the wall so he should have had a clear view, or he misjudged the speed of the strike hard to tell, but in my opinion, he should have saved it.

As far as him being the best keeper we ever had, I think Tony Norman was better, and Boaz Myhill might arguably challenge that. Having said that I loved him as a City player, a real character and a very good keeper.

Three very good goalies there, I guess we can never judge sportspeople from different eras. I’m sure modern goalies have standards and fitness will have been raised since Norman’s era (as they have in every sport) plus he never played in the top division for us. Also, a lot more was required from a goalie in the modern eras. I do think Boaz was as good a shot stopper as I’ve seen in a City shirt, but as I recall he wasn’t great at commanding his box (may not have been that, but there was a bit of a flaw in an area of his game, which would frustrate us).
I do recall Magregor had a bad neck injury while with us and had a really poor half season on his return, which compared to the other two, was a large slice of his City career, and may have sullied people’s memory of just how good he was. I just thought he was very good in all departments. His penalty saving record I believe was exceptional. I just really liked his arrogant attitude. I remember watching his debut with some Chelsea fans on my jollies. After a couple of minutes, he came charging out his goal and conceded a penalty. I remember thinking what the **** have we signed here. He promptly saved the penalty and played a blinder.

Possibly. It was following a nasty challenge and I do recall it seemed to take a while to get his confidence back.

It turned out this thing was real, it was hand painted and in a better photo, it was really quite impressive.

It went up for sale on eBay and I fancied getting it, but dropped out when it passed £350, it ended up selling last night for £6k. :emoticon-0104-surpr

AZ Alkmaar have now issued 43 stadium bans to those who attacked the West Ham fans.
