Only if he has zero ambition.
He’s only 25. He played exceptionally well this last season for PNE

I doubt he's going to come back to get no game time again.

Could be worse, could have been a thread about Chippy and his pube trimmings in European hotels.

Pope and Dubravka is ok again for next season, maybe sign some young kid with potential for 3rd choice.

You realise that’s a squad of 27 and only has 2 homegrown players excluding the under 21’s who don’t count anyway

How many second choice keepers are better than Forster who is also homegrown. Who knows anyones third choice keeper so why not Krul, also homegrown and would fill the spot until one of the young keepers on our books progresses.

Stick Dubz in a cannon and fire the ****er to the moon as far as I'm concerned.

As for another keeper who could be cheapish and young - Bazunu from Southampton.

Anyone saying get Woodman back needs to give their heads a wobble. He was complete and utter ****ing dog **** at PL level.

So we're saying playing in Europes premier competition, having a chance of winning major trophies, and the potential to be competing to be first team keeper in a year or two, would be seen as zero ambition? The kid is mustard and only getting better, he could easily get 15-20 here games next season at a much higher standard than the Championship and that's if Pope doesn't pick up any injuries. From what I saw of him at Preston this year on 3/4 occasions I'd have him ahead of Dubravka as the second choice.

I get the point about Forster but that's a very short term fix to what we are hoping will be a long term problem in terms of HG players and a similar standard of player imo, whereas Woodman could be here for 9 years before he's even Forsters/Kruls age. Dummy wont last, and then we need two after Anderson and Longstaff.

Yes but he left as he wanted first team football. Why leave for a club to be a cup keeper? I doubt very much he’d get 20 games a season.

Keepers can quickly get found out when the level is above them. It's completely different being a premier league keeper.

Agree, I had really looked forward to seeing how he would be, had high expectations for him and he had his reputation blown up a crazy amount, but like so many before him, he just didn't look anything special at all.

Granted he had Clark and Lascelles and Ritchie who was still new in the full back role in front of him but he was woeful.

Signing **** players to fill a homegrown quota like this is not the way.

We currently have Dummett, Longstaff, Longstaff and Anderson who can do that and I'd rather keep them than sign previous players.

Not sure but Toney may count as Homegrown for us if we fancied a crack at him.
