I still don't know how they determined that. Likewise, they just lumped the rest that wasn't one-quarter Chinese as "White British and Irish". I know for a fact by tracing them through Ancestry UK that the remaining 5 great-grandparents were all Celts from either Scotland or Ireland, so it just seems odd that all British whites are lumped together, but European whites can be salami-sliced down into further categories? Bit of a Barnum thing if you ask me.

Indeed. I enjoyed tracing ancestors back with Ancestry UK, but I wouldn't recommend the then £75 I paid for the DNA test - didn't really tell me anything I didn't know anyway. When push comes to shove though, the differences in skin colour are little different to the different types of Labrador, looking at it from a cellular level.
