Seen her twice in concert absolutely a true superstar rip Tina your music will go on for decades to come.
I was probably there at the same concert Reliant. Toto were the support band that day. Mrs R&W and I also saw her perform at Woburn Abbey a few years earlier. Wonderful performer - Break Every Rule is still one of my favourite albums. Many respected artists worked with her (Bryan Adams, Mark Knopfler, David Bowie to name a few…) RIP songbird - sleep peacefully Annie May.
Beautiful, sexy, classy lady, used to watch her spellbound, incredible, versatile , powerful voice, she had her struggles but was a magnificent talent, shocked at her departure but will always be with us through her music. RIP wonderful lady
The most charismatic and brilliant performer. Mrs RP saw Ike and Tina at the Pavilion in Bath in the 60's. RIP Special Lady.
She was a beacon and someone for other women in the music business to look to for inspiration. Mistreated badly by Ike Turner from a young age in terms of physical, emotional and mental cruelty, she managed to escape his clutches, tell her painful story to the world, support others facing the same hell every day, and find some peace and love with her second husband in her later years, and they settled in Switzerland. She was a true icon and like many of her contemporaries from the golden era of music, there won't be another one as good as she was. Thanks Tina
