Salernitana are now mathematically safe as Verona lost at Atalanta and Spezia only drew. They could drop another place as Lecce could catch them but that's unlikely.
Not that they needed it, but Salernitana managed a well-earned point this evening by drawing 2-2 at Roma. Put a big dent in Roma's hopes of finishing in the top six too.

I know there is an understandable sense of frustration and hostility towards the club right now but I find the comments under this post a bit sad really . I am sure the employees in charge of the social media feed are just doing their job and not trying to paper over any current issues with the club (for all we know there might be some who agree that we are in a messy situation!) We can still celebrate and remember great WFC moments whilst also feeling disappointed with what has gone on recently. Guess it’s all about timing and self awareness ?
The first couple of comments need a translate button - they appear to have been written in Gibberish. But I guess the club have to accept both the good and the bad comments equally - as far as memorable moments go, there have been plenty of both over the years - and not just under the current regime.
True - as I say suppose clubs have to be a more aware of the current mood . And there will be people not interested in the past and previous success - the old saying “living in the past” cones to mind potentially But I thought it was a pretty harmless tweet at the end of the season regarding the history of the club so snide comments were a harsh . It’s not like they are asking for your favourite moment of last season which I agree would be very out of touch . Had it been straight after a defeat or bad news day could understand the reaction more .

I don't think that Deeney has any coaching badges, which seems to be one of the criteria for the job. I think Gino would prefer the cheaper option, which would probably be Doyley - if he wants the job.
