July 1 folks. no money for 1in January cost us cl spit. all signing to be formally done on July 1 for ffp
nope. We've had 3 changes to "sign" this guy according to the rumours over past 3 windows. Far too many people have permeant rumours about LFC
But it does from a financial year point of view. Some threshold is there whether to believe to to be cash flow, amortisation level (impairment), FFP or whatyever) We were told the second, the very second Gakpo arrived to not expect another signing. No matter how badly we needed a CM. So IMO we will be hearing about deals, deals may be agreed but they will be formally completed on July 1 in the new fiscal year.
is it our offer to him or the Brighton contract currently? If its the former then we need to be well covered. the issue for me now is that very average prem clubs are asking for 50% of their annual turnover as a transfer fee for one player. benfica made 1/3rd of their annual revenue off one chelsea transfer. that's how ridiculous it is getting out there. if one player is now more money that a championship club can ever earn in a year then it's becoming totally unaffordable.
If it's like the Suarez one for £75m it encouraged him to act the dick to get it reduced to £65m to suit Barca. Or Barca did, the ****s. Don't like them.
well it isn't in the Brighton contract . The PL is the only league where lots of clubs can afford big transfer fees and i'm staggered sometimes that they don't realise most european clubs are in desperate need of cash and instead pay top dollar for players when in reality very few other clubs outside the PL couldeven consider some of these fees The PL spent more than the other 4 big leagues in Europe by someway in fact i think Chelsea on their own might have
It's being reported that Mac Allister wants to go to a club playing Champions league football next season.
Can't really blame him for that, which is why I found the initial links perplexing, as we were beneath Brighton at the time, and they're now likely to finish in 6th, one place below us. Would he use his release clause to go to whoever is in fourth next season? Is the plan to get to City in four years' time? Are we that hard up that we're saying "Look, sign for us this season and, if we don't qualify for the CL in 2024 you can go to another side who are in the CL for your release clause"? If so, hang your ****ing heads FSG - you've had 13 years and you've progressed as far as the Tories in that time.
