According to Phil Hay, the hefty pay cuts are in line with the terms and conditions of all contracted players, as the club look to cut their cloth accordingly. Last season, (21/22), Leeds' wage bill was a staggering £121m. Unfortunately, since then, things have only got a lot worse, with the likes of Georginio Rutter, reportedly earning £90,000 a week, players like Llorente being offered new lucrative deals, and lets not forget; five years of wages (£24m) owed to Jean-Kevin Augustin. To put that in context, that's nearly as much as the annual salaries of Rotherham (£6.4m), Blackpool (£6.1m), Coventry City (£6.1m) and Luton Town (7.8m) put together. Morning all. If we win on Sunday there's a good chance we'll stay up. None of the 3 relegation threatened teams seem capable of winning a match, so whoever manages a win is likely to be the one who finishes 17th. Obviously we're the least likely to stay up but we have to give it our very best shot and then see what the day holds for us.
The media are as usual getting too hung up on the club valuation being £500m, the reality is that the £500m (if true) only means that the 49ers have to find £260m to pay off Radz if you use a 52%/48% split as the 49ers already own 48% of Leeds. If however the valuation drops to £150m due to relegation the 49ers only have to find £78m to pay Radz out. The true valuation of Leeds will be based upon multiples of EBITDA which is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation. I have seen businesses sold based upon 12 times EBITDA and also seen some move for only 2 times, it all depends on the industry sector and forecasts etc. Leeds already massive profitability so a deal should happen fast
stranger things have happened Jambo. Think the battering our gd took recently might be the final nail though. I Can see Everton not beating Bournemouth, but now they have to lose. Leicester’s point last night didn’t help either as a win for them sinks us. But football is a funny game, anything can happen
Slightly different my end Milky in that Leicester's point has changed massively how Everton approach their game. If it was just a straight shoot out between us and them they could have coasted to a draw, but now they have to go out and try and win the match. This should bring Bounemouth's good counter attacking style to the fore and hopefully they pick them off as they did to us. Leicester we'll have to see, but we know (like us) they are so vunerable both mentally and at the back.

Whatever happens Jammy, I just want the lads to get at Spurs and give it a right go, otherwise I can see a few of the Southstand lads getting a bit of the hump. Do you think they'll have the post match walkabout if results go against us.
Going to be an interesting afternoon for sure as this would be the 3rd time we've been relegated from the top flight during my lifetime but the first time that it's happened at Elland Road. How the fans are going to react to that I've no idea and they probably don't know either at this point.
Best to get pissed so. Although my return flight isn't till 23.25 the same day. I've got a return booked for the Mon, just in case
