Interesting to hear Jo Tessum mention the difficulty Saints will have in getting rid of the more ineffectual players on the club and likened the situation to that of a few years back when we tried to bin the like of Boufal and Hoedt. It will be an interestung summer in te tranfer market. The only players I feel resigned to losing and would feel disappointed about would be, Perraud, KWP and Alcarez. I am not too fussed about losing any of the others, if I am honest .

Just those? For me I would add Ward-Prowse and Lavia.

I'd really like to see Lavia stay with the club for a long time, the rest I'm no longer fussed about.
Keen to see us sign some players who can actually head the ball.

I don’t think we will have too many issues, a lot of our poorer players are out of contract or aren’t worth huge values and where we’ve dropped down a level, some players may well end up being of value to us.

players like Adam Armstrong, Tall Paul, Bednarek, Lyanco, Aribo, DCC, Diallo maybe kept on and do a decent job if we can’t shift them.

The other thing to factor in I guess is that if we can get “large” fees for the likes of Lavia, ABK, JWP, KWP, Salisu and Alcaraz as has been mentioned then we might be happy to let some of the others leave cheaply just to get their wages off the books. Ely, Walcott, Caballero and McCarthy all going should free up about 200k a week just out of contract.

We might be happy just to take smaller fees on Lyanco, Orsic, DCC, Aribo and Onuachu if we don’t think they will factor into next season much just to move their wages on and with our squad size we don’t need to replace every player anyway

Even if all of those listed above leave we’d still have

    Bazunu

    Livramento
    Bree

    Bednarek
    Stephens

    Perraud
    Larios

    Diallo
    Smallbone

    S Armstrong
    Edozie
    A Armstrong
    Sulemana
    Tella
    Djenepo

    Adams
    Mara

And some of the youngsters everyone hopes we will include in the squad. Sure some holes, but we definitely won’t need to do a player for player replacement with everyone who leaves, of course not all of those I’ve listed in the “stay” category will stay as well.

Just looking at in in black and white it really wouldn’t surprise me if 20 players left this summer

Good work, shows where we need to concentrate our transfer efforts, keeper, centre backs, lots of new midfielders and a goal scorer.
Remembering that we will be playing twice a week for much of the season so exhaustion and injuries will be more of an issue

He`s a bit of a cult figure at Aberdeen already. He chases lost causes and gives 100%. Still young and a rough diamond, but he`d be a good value signing.

I'll bet he will never score the fastest goal in the Prem though.

    Classic Saints.

Ultimate form would be to miss out on our target over £10k compensation and for him to then go on and lead another team to the League title.

Probs for the best if we miss out on Rasmus’ first choice. His ‘Plan B’ can’t be any worse than his Plan A’s

If stories are to be believed, RM is second choice. Our first choice was the Man City assistant Enzo Maresca, which would have been an even deeper dive into the football hipster box that RA lives for. Desperate to try and make a ‘clever’ decision that nobody else would.
