I will be getting a pass this year. I feel like I need to do my little bit to support Acun. I will only make it to 3 or 4 games a year but feel like I need to be involved
If it’s a comfort my eldest brother lives in Surrey and has had a pass for about 15 years but only made it to about 5 games , he keeps his seat just in case !
It feels kind of wrong for liking your post RoverT! So sorry to hear your situation, but I think after 55 years of supporting City, you’ve maybe just about earned your stripes! That’s some going. As we all get older, with health challenges, life’s about compromises, so you can hopefully still support City but from the standing section of your living room, or sofa, keeping dry and warm. Take care of yourself RT, you can also rely on us for our match commentary!
Thank you Tigress, I'll definitely be watching from home, unfortunately it's just one of the results of age.
I have an under 10 free seat for a grandson….sometimes he can’t make is I take his elder brother who is in the next price bracket…what should I do .I don’t mind paying for him but not sure if the process…any thoughts?
Option 1 each time go throught the hassle and contact the ticket office and pay and upgrade juniors ticket Option 2 Don't bother with Option 1 and just let the older one use the pass and walk through the turnstile, if it's any thing like the South stand the dopey/uninterested steward will either be half asleep or paying no attention what so ever to what colour buzzes up when someone passes through a turnstile.
I usually use option 3, use Rico as a distraction and engage in trivial guff with the steward, then just walk in. I got in touch with the ticket office earlier, and they're doing cash up front for passes again from June 21st. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Couldn't get through on the phone, website wouldn't allow me to move seats as one is for my granddaughter so had to go to the stadium. Moved our seats to WSU and paid up front but as I'd done this last year I was told that I had to wait until next week, FD would be ok but I prefer to pay in full - I'm able to do it and think Acun deserves it! Thankfully this was made possible by one of the ticket office staff coming through to Tiger Leisure to make the change on the system. TL staff weren't trained to do this apparently. Seats directly over the half way line and and half way up the stand so looking forward to my match of the day view again within the cauldron atmosphere of WSU
Had decided to let my granddaughter's membership lapse as she lives in Manchester and only attends a few games (she's 11 now so has to pay), but with reduced prices decided to continue her membership. Rang the ticket office and they suggested I send an e-mail, which I did. City rang me this morning and put her seat on hold until 21st June when I can pay for it!!! Outstanding service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done the Ticket Office
Rang the Stadium Office to cancel my membership and the young lady was brilliant. Took all my details, explained I needed to e.mail the cancellation. When we finished she said she hoped my health improved and to take care, brilliant. She also told me there's only 8 memberships left in n5.
Noticeable from all the comments how good and accommodating the ticket office is and has been, a marked difference from when they were operating under the Allams. No need to go off on an anti alllam tangent, just appreciate the can do attitude we have now.
In fairness I've always found them helpful even under the Allams. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I'm sure it happens far more now than it ever did then. There's loads of people doing it in North nowadays. Acun and team will be well aware but they take it on the chin, probably because they're so determined to get the crowds as high as possible. The previous regime were obsessed with the paranoia of being cheated, and found it more important to 'win' that particular battle than to have a healthy or successful football club. We really are lucky to have serious people running the club now.
They or any owner shouldn't have to take it on the chin, how about so called "fans" just don't cheat the system and pay the proper amount, after all as you say, we are lucky to have serious people running the club now!
