Always thought Archie was the consummate actor. A cross between Gregory Peck and Michael Caine. He could act in comedies and dramas with equal finesse, and, as in North by Northwest, both comedy and drama in the one movie. Too bad he turned down the role of James Bond. With no disrespect to Roger Moore, Grant would have been the thinking man's Bond. Even James Mason would have been a good Bond, also turning down the role and as coincidence would have it, they both played a part in this espionage, come romantic, thriller.
