There is a world of difference between a mistake and a misjudgement though. And at the head of a multi-billion pound business that relies solely based on results, sound judgement is crucial.

Examples of mistakes we've made under Levy:
    - Appointing Hoddle as his first manager. You could certainly see the good judgement here. New owner, new era, get a club legend in the dugout playing the Spurs way after years of George Graham. It didn't work out because it turned out that Hoddle the manager (as well as Hoddle the pundit) was nowhere near as good as Hoddle the player. It was a mistake, move on.
    - Entering the 'special relationship' with Real Madrid. We were suspicious of it but in theory, this was a very good idea. Recognising the inevitability that we weren't yet big enough to hold on to our best players yet also too big to allow them to move to domestic rivals, entering a special relationship with the biggest club in the world giving them first dibs on our stars while we got first dibs on their promising youngsters made a lot of sense, even if it hurt. It didn't work out because it turns out Florentino Perez is an even bigger douche than anyone realised, so they didn't keep to their side of the agreement.
    - Signing players like Vincent Janssen and Steven Bergwijn. Young, impressive in their league and coveted by numerous clubs across Europe, the fact that it didn't work out for them here can hardly be blamed on Levy. Sometimes these things just don't work out for a multitude of reasons, move on.

Examples of misjudgements we've made under Levy in the past 5 years alone:
    - Not backing Poch for an entire year
    - Sacking him 3 months after finally backing him
    - Replacing him with his footballing antithesis
    - Not backing the antithesis despite his glittering track record
    - Sacking Mourinho a week before a cup final against a team and manager he had a surprisingly good record against
    - Taking 3 months to appoint Nuno
    - Not backing Nuno properly either
    - Appointing a DoF under criminal investigation
    - Not backing Conte
    - 2 months after sacking Conte, still no replacement

How many more chances does this guy deserve? At what point do we hold our hands up and admit that he is a financial genius, football fool?

In no other industry would "trying hard" be rewarded as generously as his annual salary.

    Like I always say

‘levy would have sacked levy by now’

anyway, this is what he said

“We shall spend the period ahead of next season working relentlessly to position our club for on pitch success and football you will love to come and watch. Every element of the club is geared toward delivering that"

you’ve only got to look at replies on various tweets to see that no one falls for it anymore.

let me guess, it’s just in time for season ticket renewal and the launch of the home shirt, too?

more positive PR heading to a smart phone near you!

    Yeah it’s standard now.

We’ll have “Kane close to new deal” in a week or so too.

It’ll be interesting to see how ST renewals go though, I’m renewing mine despite the fact I can barely get back for games at the moment but I know two blokes personally that aren’t renewing and I’ve seen a few social media posts of people saying this was their final season. Sounds like loads of OH members are giving it up too due to the recent price hikes. I’d imagine we’ll end up selling all STs in the end, as those giving them up will likely be replaced by those on the waiting lists but I think there’ll be a significant decline in OH renewals/ new members.

If anything the Lunatic Fringe are gunning for Donna Cullen, which definitely doesn't have any ulterior motives behind it, sort of like how the prominent voices of the lEEvI owT movement five or six years ago had a track record of posting far-right material...

De Telegraaf claim we approached Feyenoord DoF Dennis te Kloese last week, but were given a firm "Nee"

Reportedly because, having lived in the US for twenty years, he'd rather stay in Holland to be near his elderly parents - but see how many people with the exact same anti-Levy avatars skip that part...

Are there "use it or lose it" T+Cs ??
For example, you can offer your ticket (because you
cannot attend etc) to members a certain number of
times each season, after which you are deemed to
    be an ST "squatter" ??

As far as I’m aware there isn’t. I doubt the club would care either, whether I attend the games or sell my ticket on the exchange/ give it to a mate it doesn’t make a difference to them as the money’s in their pocket at the start of each season.

If you can afford to buy a ST, but are not profiteering
when you offer your seat to members who cannot
afford an ST but can attend a game or two, then good on you.

Marc Mayo at the Standard says the club have reiterated that Nagelsmann isn't on the shortlist after all...which at the very least shuts up all the conspiracy nutters claiming we planted the story, at least it would if conspiracy nutters ever admitted fault

In other news, according to Record (the Portuguese one), Ruben Amorim has assured Sporting's players he will not leave this summer. No word on whether Manuel Ugarte, Pedro Goncalves or Goncalo Inacio made similar promises

It's worth noting that Fabrizio Romano is also saying that one of Nagelsmann's terms was he would pick the DoF he would work with, which is what (IIRC) Dan KP was suggesting a little over a week ago

Not only is that another hole beneath the waterline of HMS Conspiracy Nutter, as there's no way it can be claimed that Romano is a media plant as the conspiracy nutters have with Kilpatrick or Alasdair Gold (source: that World of Gobshite blog which got shared on here a bunch 2-3 months ago, which devotes several paragraphs to ranting about Kilpatrick for no logical reason) - that is, assuming conspiracy nutters can admit they were talking bollocks

Now if that is the case, as much of a kick in the nards as it is, the club were probably right to back off because a manager should not be dictating who the DoF is as that would be like Ryan Mason saying which manager he wants to be the AssMan for next season

...that being said, in Gold's latest vlog he does explicitly say the club's stance towards Nagelsmann could still change if the new DoF identifies Nagelsmann as the top pick for the managerial job

It's also worth noting that, in that same vlog, Gold is definitely not enamoured with Pinto, comparing him to Paratici - and yes, that includes the potential for needing another DoF within a year when he gets banned from world football, for reasons I touched on a few days ago

Romano says Nagelsmann talks haven’t resumed.

De Telegraaf - which has usually been pretty spot on with Spurs related Eredivisie news over the years - claims Slot has told his agent he wants the Spurs job (crazy guy!).

Should get him in under Slot, perfect type of person to have around the place, probably still better than most of our squad too.

I'm not sure that our fanbase could handle the sight of a bald Rafa

    That's what Wimbledon is for
