Well the close season is upon us once again and I've never taken to a non football weekend when the lads aren't playing. I'm trying to cheer myself up with thoughts of an exciting transfer window and counting the days to pre season and at my age you'd think I'd know better but I don't. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas, has he been yet....so come on SAFC give us an exciting summer break, football will be back soon.
You posted this an hour and a half ago and still haven't answered. How many days is it? I've been refreshing the thread to find out.
There have been season where the overall concensus most are glad to get away from the chore/commitment of having to go to matches each week as they really haven't enjoyed it. As a Exile who doesn't go each week I can't comment too much either way really but I bet the overall concensus is people are gutted they not getting to go this week as they have had more entertainment and enjoyment than they have had in a long time watching the lads! I'll say this though, you all deserve it after sticking with it through all the ****!

I work every other weekend so don't get same heel kicking boredom of the Monday to Friday worker as much. Infact, it's actually nice not having to rearrange stuff with work to go to the match that was all sorted in advance only for it to be moved for tv. In short, miss the football during pre season, but greatful of the break from the chew.
The summer will fly over, got a feeling we will be busy and pre season will be here in no time. Club just tweeted this..... Ha'way the Lads.
My plan during close season is just to keep more bartenders employed, stay drunk and sober up about a week before the footy starts again
The cricket season has started for my son so he is playing most Sundays, got tickets for 3 Durham T20 blast matches as well to help pass the time.
One negative about that video.... David Moyes name mentioned in the background. Watched that 4 times. Class.
Good day down the sea front today. Full walk along, fish and chips, roker park, few pints in the cliff. Decent.
World Cup>Ryder Cup>Ashes>Olympics... One of the great events, mate. Make an effort to watch the highlights, at least. It'll grab you...guaranteed.
I’ve tried and I just can’t get away with it, it’s just too strung out, slow and repetitive for me. Don’t mind 20/20 however. I do agree with the Ryder Cup, absolutely love watching it. Some say that’s slow also but it’s certainly not repetitive. Different holes, golfers, types of ball lie etc.
