If that's true, I'm flabbergasted. There is no way O'Dele is worth that. Turning it down would have been huge mistake, IMHO. Was Godfrey our record sale for a defender?
I was joking mate, I’m not going anywhere! Agree, There is a problem in society these days that people can’t take someone having opposing views to them, but that’s not me! Won’t stop me from trying to throw some pro Webber comments out on here either. I will also call out people when they are just writing rubbish
Some of these comments just go to show that you didn’t listen to the full Radio Norfolk interview. Stuart and Zoe are both answerable to the bird seperately and are contractually not allowed to be involved in discussions regarding one another’s role at the club. If you can’t see that fan support on a match day have a big effect on player performance then there is no helping you. Carrow Road has been full of doom mongers and like it or not that effects performances. Players even commenting that they would rather play away from home. I get that good performances breed good support, but by the same taken if Carrow Road was rocking I am sure it would help the performances on the pitch. Get behind the team! Instead we have sarcastic chants about how **** we are and slagging off our own players and staff
He didn’t send a shot at all Norwich fans, if you’re not a divorcee from the Snake Pit then don’t get annoyed about it. Why can he not make a small remark about a group of people that have been giving him **** all season. On the one hand we want the guy to be open and honest but in the other he is lambasted for speaking his mind
It would be boring if we all agreed about everything. I'm pretty fickle & if my team starts scoring again then I'll praise everyone at the club . I also won't blindly pretend that things are going well when they aren't
Hang on sec. I'll look it up... Transfermarkt says 27.5 euros in 2020. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-godfrey/profil/spieler/343475
Not sure calling passionate fans that feel short changed "divorcees " was open & honest he may as well just said "incells from the Barclay " pretty pathetic disparaging your customers . Also I went to the opening game against Wigan a lacklustre 1-1 with the crowd full of optimism & hope & the performance was dire. That wasn't our fault & i didn't bother going back all season . They still looked like the side that got humped every week in the embarrassing relegation from 2021-22
Positives All the Scottish boys were decent Gunn , Handley & Kenny . Sara looks like he could be good if we hold onto him, Nunez scored a screamer & looked brilliant at times, Gibbs has potential. Until the World Cup Sargent was good then looked like a shadow of himself but young enough to improve. I'm struggling to think of anything else . So 7 players to build a team around, sell the rest if decent bids come in
I think it was £28m initially, rising to around 33m if add ons were realised. TransferMarkt list the initial fee as £27.5m, as CS says, but don't include add on figures. Ben has hardly kicked on this season with 10 starts and 3 sub appearances in four different positions. His overall rating so far is 6.32.
It’s been a really tough few years for him I think. Ancelotti seemed full of praise for him and his potential but Everton have been awful since he left. This season I think he had a big injury and then seems to keep being moved around from CB, LB and RB so unable to get any rhythm
Arguably out of Tzolis, Marquinhos, Dowell, Cantwell, Rashica, Placheter, Rowe, Springett & Hernandez. Argos was our best performer
No doubt about it, Dowell is the only one that came close and that only last 3 or 4 games, at least Hernandez brings passion
If anyone is planning to listen to an interview with Webber I would suggest the BBC Radio Norfolk one over the PinkUns personally - seemed a bit more informative
