Great name as well, Arne Slot... The media headlines have so much potential. Tottenham Slotspur You love it you Slot Slot Stuff Kane Slots it away You Arne beating us Shove it up your Arne
Definitely some movement on Slot, as we've gone from joined-up thinking about Orkan Kokcu following him to 1908nl suggesting that is going to happen ...and yes, I have already covered what Kokcu could bring if he were to sign, both in terms of on the pitch and one potentially massive bit of baggage
I’m waiting for the headlines around his departure ‘Thanks Slot’ ‘That Slot of compensation’ ‘Mason to Slot in as interim’ etc etc
Because Matt Law remembered he's Matt Law, he's decided to buck the trend and say Luis Enrique is the front-runner
Hang on... The Times are now running with Nagelsmann not only being back in the frame, but also claim that he has been recommending candidates to be the next DoF
I’ve been suggesting the leak of Spurs not being interested in Nagelsmann was a smokescreen. I suspect some clever tactics are in play with regards to the issue of compensation to BM.
Most people in SpursWeb/Spurs Express replies think the club's making **** up to distract from today's result While the timing does look sus, the fact it's in The Times makes it sound less planted compared to if Dan KP or Alasdair Gold chucked it out at 5:30 Best make sure Slot isn't pee'd off, though...
I personally wouldn’t be surprised if Nagelsmann is appointed but I’m also thinking why the heck would anyone in the upper echelon of management/coaching will want to join us. I felt sorry for Levy today what with the chanting for him to get out of the club. The director lady who sits next to him actually patted him on the knee to console him which the cameras caught. I felt bad for the guy. His decision making don’t work out but there’s no faulting his determination to make the club a success.
Never feel sorry for a multi millionaire who has saddled your club with a billion pound vanity project whilst ignoring the needs of the working part of the club (the team/squad) and has given himself massive pay rises to make his own personal fortune greater. How many times has that fantastic sliding pitch been put under the stands this season and the plastic one underneath used? Any idea if it's paid anything off the debt yet.
But he hasn’t ignored the team. He has sanctioned the transfers of some very expensive players and paid like the second or third highest salaries on the recent managers. He has got the sliding pitch in with one aim - to generate money that is reinvested into the business of which the football side will benefit. I believe he is genuine in trying to create something special for the club. I won’t excuse Nuno’s appointment but I can understand that he wasn’t inundated with a good selection process. He IS trying. One day, when enic/levy are out, we’ll realise that the grass isn’t always greener when we are owned by a corrupt State from the Middle East.
