Good Morning. It's Friday 19th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Should Leeds cut their losses on record signing

With relegation looming, Leeds Utd have some big decisions to make this Summer, none more so than what to do with Georginio Rutter. The 21 yo joined during the January transfer window for a club record £35m but four months on, has only accrued 235 minutes of top flight game time.

Without any action since the 6-1 drubbing against Liverpool, Rutter was dropped to U21 duties, where he gave fans a snipet of what to expect next season. To give him his dues, not only did he excel, but was instrumental in helping the young Whites win promotion back to Premier League 2, Division 1; and even opened the scoring against Nottingham Forest in the play off final.

Should the worse happen, Leeds have two options. Make him an instrumental part of their set up next season or sell him. If they sell him, the club can expect to make a big loss, yet still recoup a huge amount of money which would go a long will to rebuild a more physical Championship squad, capable of winning promotion at the first attempt of asking.

    It's Hammers time

West Ham progressed past AZ Alkmaar last night, in the semi-final of the Europa Conference Cup after Pablo Fornals' injury time strike helped secure their first chance of European silverware for 47 years.
The game was marred by crowd violence as Dutch hooligans, known as the Alkmaar Ultras, started to attack the hospitality section, housing the friends and family of the East London club.

How dozens of hooligans, all dressed in black, wearing hoodies and balaclava's managed to storm the VIP area remains a mystery, the players weren't going to wait for a stewards inquiry to find out, and made a bee-line towards the melee. Several players were seen jumping barriers to help protect loved ones, as fighting continued to break out. At least Kurt Zouma's cat got some well deserved rest-bite

Leeds visit the London Stadium on Sunday, less than 72 hours after West Hams victory, and with European silverware on the line, let's hope they field an under strength side against the Whites.

If you were offered a draw at West Ham

It's easy to say Sunday game is a must win, especially when looking at the league table, but would a draw be that bad? Nottingham Forest are unlikely to get much change from Arsenal, Everton's visit to Wolves won't be easy, and Leicester City are unlikely to get anything from their trip to St James Park.

Many are predicting Leeds will turn over Spurs at Elland Road on the last day of the season; and that being the case, stand a reasonable chance of staying up. If you were offered a draw at West Ham now, would you take it?

    No to a draw.

No one will know what is a good result until after the 38th game and at the end of the day that's all that matters. However we do know we need an absolute minimum of one point from our last 2 games to have any chance at all.

Ok yes to the draw then...err maybe.

If we draw at West Ham, the last game becomes must win or down simple as that and the pressure may be too much. Beat the Hammers and I think it swings in our favour :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Oh and, morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Guess it also depends on what happens tomorrow.

We might have to win or we're down.

No to a draw a must win for me to give us confidence against Spurs. Yes we also hope results go our way but would rather us go into the spuds game after winning rather than sweating on getting a result as we haven’t got enough strong characters.

AC Milan spent Rutter money on CDK who has hardly kicked a ball this season. Same price but one is older and more experienced. Sometimes overseas transfers take time. However we didnt have the time or the cash to splat on this gamble

Only a win will do for me but expecting a draw. We have to be like Everton were at Brighton, straight into them, no time to settle on the ball, want it more than them.

Rutter 238 minutes of football, that's double what KP has played at Citeh and he's their poty <whistle>

Definitely a luxury signing, we needed something different, someone to make the team better not the squad bigger.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Leeds fans may have had something to do with that...

Almost the ultimate fans poll was to name one of the stands at the new Man City stadium. It got hijacked by fans of other clubs who voted for it to be named after City legend Colin Bell. But Man City chiefs smelled a rat and realised they couldn't name the stand 'The Bell End'. They were going to ignore the poll and name it after Joe Mercer instead but fans insisted that they wanted it named after Bell so they relented and eventually called it the Colin Bell Stand.

Just goes to show, how real the Leeds fans are, to be able to outvote the glory hunting Man city plastics.

The Colin Bell End name is now being saved for Sheffield United’s new stand in honour of Neil Warnock

seems Ell left his irony sensor at home today.

Leeds fans have previous for this. Anybody really think KP was England’s player of the year last season?
