    Spurs Birds change venue:

Probably more accessible for most fans.

Great news. I went to a few of the Ladies’ games at Barnet last season and was not impressed with the set up there. It’s a makeshift stadium in the middle of a sports complex with a difficult car parking exit system. It feels exactly what it is, which is a Premier League team playing in a non league set up.

Brisbane Road is a proper stadium, a million steps up in improvement from Barnet, and it’s fantastic to see us continue to consolidate our excellent relationship with Leyton Orient.

One of the main reasons that I can't really get into the women's game.
I think that the other is athleticism. It's all a bit slow.

Not sure the keeper could do much in the Spurs v Utd game, though. Nice finish.

Women are 5-10% shorter, weaker and slower than men. I think it would make sense if the pitch dimensions were altered accordingly. Or, given the increase in male height, strength and speed over the last 150 years, perhaps at least the goals should be bigger for male matches.

Think that a serious issue in women's football is the size of the goals.
Generally women are not 6 foot plus so a full sized goal is absolutely a serious disadvantage for keepers especially with high powerful shots.

You're probably right in terms of what would suit the sport best.
It would be rather impractical to try and implement that in the current situation of the game, though.
There aren't many dedicated women's stadiums and pitches, if any.
The hassle wouldn't been seen as worthwhile for the teams.

Spence is pushing the "identifying" as a woman stuff, isn't he.

Changing the goalpost dimensions for women
is simple to do. Pitch dimensions, although fairer,
is not going to happen on pitches used for men.

I question to Maggie. Did you agree with the USA Women wanting pay on par with the men in "soccer"?

The women are paid the same as the men for representing England. The men don't take their match fees they all go to charity.

I've said it before but I loathe Jonathan Pierce. Commentating on Spurs W v Arsenal, he described a shot from Arsenal and accused the Spurs keeper of going down slowly. She saved the shot, so if she moved any quicker, she'd have missed the shot, surely.

Pierce was a complete knob when he used to do the commentary on the radio way back. I tend to watch games with sound way down now days....
