Can't believe people are having a go at maddison for his performance vs Liverpool, he was put on the RW in basically a free role.

Do we need a 3rd choice striker? We'll have so many games to play, and Wilson may have had a good season without injuries but I don't want to rely on his fitness. I think we can do with a decent 3rd choice option.
The only thing that I think would make him 3rd choice is if he cannot stay fit, but if he can stay fit, he's a 15-20 goals a season striker.
Would you look at selling him? There's a few in the squad that I'd look at selling potentially as, will their stock ever be higher than this summer? Wilson falls into this catergory. 32 next season and just had a tremendous season, could be the last chance to cash in on him. I'd probably look at keeping him personally as he is a great option but if you could get £30m for him this summer and put it towards a young striker you could see where the clubs head would be at...
Whatever amount we would get for him would likely not be worth it. I think it's worth keeping him because even if age and fitness catches up with him next season, he'll probably still be good for 10-15 goals again, even if it's not first choice. 31-32 is not that old. I'd definitely not be offering him a big contract though. I'd much rather just have a Wilson level striker like Watkins, Toney etc, but it will likely be someone from a foreign league to avoid getting ripped off.
I'm rethinking my position on Maddison guys. So many Leicester fans saying he doesn't work hard enough and his attitude sucks. Could his talent be enough to justify bringing him? Could we change his mindset? I suppose if he's effective enough that's what matters?
It's easy for fans to jump on individual players when the team has performed as poorly as they have this season. The whole squad, coaching staff and owners need to take responsibility, it's not about any onr individual. How would Leicester have done without Maddison's goals & assists? Probably be below Southampton now. Eddie's coaching and motivation would have Maddison as a regular in the Englabd team.
Agreed, Maddison is talented, but I admit when watching Leicester the only negative thing about Maddison is he doesn't sometimes appear to go anonymous for a while sat up the pitch, but it could be because he's in a free role sometime or on the RW. He will definitely need to work harder if he's with us. He's very talented on the ball and if he can get the right players around he he could be a 25+ goal involvements a season midfield. 10-15 goals/10-15 assists. He's not a very strong player though, and relies more on winning fouls and dribbling than getting stuck in. I think he'll be worth the risk, but so many Leicester fans dislike him despite his goal involvements.
