    Only six months too late

I suspect it was a six month ban and they just took the summer break into account

Man City break 122 financial regulations, Everton overspend FFP cap by nearly 3x and NEITHER punished.

Force players to promote gambling every single day of their working life...

Ban them for 8 months when they gamble themselves.

It's the right decision (eventually) to ban Toney but what about the others? Advertising betting needs to stop, said this for years.

On a point of accuracy Everton losses and the limit allowed for FFP purposes are 2 different things as the FFP rules allow for all sorts of things to be be discounted as losses i.e. womens teams , infrastructure , community initiatives etc .
Though clearly Everton were allowed to get away with murder in particular there ridiculous "losses" due to Covid .

Rudiger on the bench tonight! I think Real Madrid might regret that. He is an edgy b*gger but he had Haaland in his pocket for the first leg. Real always find a way they say, it will be interesting to see if they can do it tonight

City may yet still be punished. Everton potentially as well.

On someone’s criterion here ;) Emery would deserve the award much more than Arteta and by a long distance.

Whatever happens from now Pep is surely manager of the year. Incredibly strong team, arguably the best ever in English football. The premiership is already in the bag, finalists in the CL and the FA cup finals in which they are overwhelming favourites.

The treble is in the bag barring some sort of disaster.

Doesn’t matter what happens in Europe when it comes to manager of the year though

Was kind of hoping both Sunderland and Borough would get through, partly because they both have United links this season but mainly because they have both been really good to watch with the football they have played.

Why shouldn't it matter what a manager does in Europe?
Didn't it matter that Klopp won you a CL Trophy.

I actually think it matters more because his team have been fighting on an extra front so to speak, one that most PL managers don't have to contend with in a season.

I still think emery has done the better job

We can all play championship manager( one for the old ones) with the cheat code.

Emery has made villa a completely different animal with no time ir resources.

Correct, a Premier League manager that has to lead his teams through other competitions whilst also managing in the PL.
Surely keeping the team fresh and fighting through more games than most means something.

Do you discount any success in the FA Cup too because its not Premier League?

He's a great example of a manager coming into a club and making a real difference.

He is, he's done very well.

I hate the " he needs 2 transfer windows to make the team his own"

The title is manager not chief scout.

Manage the team, get the best out of what you've got.

If you've got to buy 11 players to forfil your wishes then your not managing a team. Your buying a team to win **** for you.
