Not really time to be from the north east if you want to get our of the Championship.

Coventry dealt with it better than most this season - both games ended in a draw.

I watched Forest Green a number of times when Edwards was in charge. He played the same type of physical football there as he now plays at Luton. When you look at the players he had available in his brief period with us, you wouldn't say that our forwards were big physical specimens.

No and someone who should be in Davis didn’t really show it .

    Same with our midfield.

The more they have to spend on the ground will mean less to strengthen the team. The new stadium has only just had the final design approved, and it is not as yet fully funded. A three-year build is anticipated, so money will have to be spent on the kennel if they hope to use some of the money from the PL. It would make sense financially to ground share for this in between period, but would the fans buy into that, especially if they struggle next season?

This thing of having to make stadium improvements, or other infrastructural improvements because of promotion is a problem for many clubs Fez. In the National League 3G pitches or artificial playing surfaces are allowed but have to be dug up if they get promoted to the FL and replaced with grass. Another strange one is that if you go from the National League South to the National league fans have to be segregated (can't move from one end to the other at half time) and beer can no longer be consumed within sight of the pitch. If Taunton play a team of a similar level in the FA Cup they can all drink their cider and watch - but this was banned for the Yeovil tie which pissed them off no end. It gets even worse <doh> After winning the Taunton and District League Porlock were denied promotion to the Somerset Senior League because they didn't have a separate changing room for the referee. Strangely things like artificial pitches are still allowed in all European competitions but not finals - also stadium size is no problem.

Yeah, it's incredible the upgrades required. I've done dressing rooms for a local non-league side as an emergency after they won promotion, and the Practice I work for has been involved with parking, floodlights, artificial pitches - all sorts! My dissertation was on stadia design, I did a case study of The Vic - got a warts 'n' all tour. This was when the corner of the LGT by the Rookery was going to be turned into dressing rooms 07/08 - that went well!

Good points cologne. Banbury Utd. won promotion to the National league North in 21/22 season, but before they could play in it, they had to double the undercover seating at the ground. Without big sponsorship deals, just local plant hire companies, jewellers and undertakers etc, it was going to be a struggle, but they put out an appeal, raising some of the money for a stand extension. A short term loan was also taken on, and with volunteer labour the ground passed the tests. The start of the season continued as the previous one ended, with two of the forwards scoring goals for fun, and by the end of December they were near the top of their new division. January however saw a change in their fortunes as the two goalscorers had to be sold to pay off the loan. From then on the results went downhill, and they started to wonder if it has all been worthwhile as relegation threatened. They avoided it with a couple of games to spare, but unless they can find another couple who know their way to goal, it will be very difficult next season.

If Peterborough manage to go up I can't see their goalkeeper going up with them - he's all over the place. What he was doing for Wednesday's second goal is anyone's guess.

Then trying to waste time afterwards.

Full house at Hillsbrough- obviously still had the faith and hope.

    Not sure ours would !

Justified too - can't see Posh improving in extra time. Bit of a killer blow that equalising goal in the 98th minute.
