7 players leaving Arsenal alongside Granit Xhaka as Gunners exodus gets underway Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is braced for another hectic summer transfer window, with numerous incomings and outgoings planned in order to breach the gap to Manchester City https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...-29996117?utm_source=mirror_newsletter&utm_ca
Announced & Confirmed Milner, Ox, Keita and Firminio (which we knew already) are set to leave the club https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65627392
Be interesting to see where they are going. Milner almost confirmed to Brighton and Bobby possibly to Barcelona (?).
I can see Bobby, Milner and Keita finding it easy to get new clubs. Milner as you say is virtually signed up to Brighton Bobby has proved that he's a quality player and will probably be wanted by alot of European clubs, not sure about Barca as I'm not sure they're interested. I think thats more coming from his camp. I can see the Italian clubs being interested. Keita, he's the right age and can be a good player and I don't think he's as injury prone as he's made out, I think alot of him not playing is not settling and wanting to move back to Germany. Ox might find it harder, he is genuinely injury prone (was before he came to us tbf), he's also getting close to 30 and hasn't managed to string a number of games together for about 3 years. I think he might be stuck between wage demands and who is willing to take a risk on him.
it's just a formal, before the last home game, announcement so there is no doubt its a goodbye and good luck.
I thought Bobby would go to Roma, just a hunch, but I've seen links to Barcelona. I've also read that Milner's move involves some sort of coaching role in the future. I thought that was definitely on the cards for him with us. He's a natural leader who gets on with everyone and Klopp loves him. I wonder if he was offered a coaching role but maybe just wants a change of scenery before he retires. A lot had him going back to Leeds which isn't happening. Ox just fizzled out for me and while he's a very happy type of person, just didn't look like he was interested latterly. He's a big personality in the dressing room as are Bobby and Milner so I hope morale doesn't suffer. The only other big personality in the dressing room is Robbo, we need some noisier types amongst our new recruits. We've got a lot of quiet players that need keeping on their toes.
Presumably means there's no-one else definitely leaving yet, so no deals in place for the likes of Kelleher, Matip or Thiago. That must also be a fair old wedge of wages off the books as well. Ugarte, Mac Allister and maybe Mount to be the ones that come in?
no, they don't get a goodbye. this is really just saying you lot better give sick notes a cheer when we say bye and not just sing for Bobby. I make it 580k in wages.
