Was he ridden too aggressively? Travelled sweetly throughout, but if Dickie Johnson had of held on to him and not let him kick on a circuit from home, he might have finished closer. On the other hand, maybe the weight just told in the end. Be interesting to see whwere they go with him next.
Was it just me or was the commentator putting an extra "tit" into his pronounciation of Quantitiveeasing? Or is it actually named Quantitativeeasing? Maybe it's just another badly spelled name, along with Wishfull Thinking in the same race Full marks to Great Endeavour though - good luck with that double ROTO
'Quantitative' is spelt correctly. It is often mispronounced as 'quantitive'. In it's correct form it is a bit of a mouthful. 'Wishfull' is incorrect as you suggest. I plan on writing up a review of the three days so will include my thoughts on the PPGC there.
I was hoping the Paddy Power Gold Cup would have given me an easy selection for Episode 5 in the Spotlight series. Great Endeavour was excellent but I'm not so sure he'll make it to the 'top table' this season? Hmm. I've got one or two ideas though. Clearly there might have to be an episode after the Betfair chase this weekend!
