First time I've watched it for a while and its a bit like the choreographed weather reports, all style over substance,
I reckon our location will be the reason which could prevent this. And I dont want us to compensate players by offering them more money than the likes of Brighton and Brentford would. Weve done that in the past and look where that got us.
Correct. I'm sure KLD is smart enough to know that his policy of including younger players, and playing attractive football, will attract better players, particularly loans. Why go to Luton, Millwall, Preston, Blackburn, Coventry, etc, who are all the same type of organised, muscular, shytehousing teams ... ... and why play in front of 20,000 at home and hundreds away. It really makes you wonder wtf the coaches at Celtic, Leeds, Spurs, West Ham, etc, are doing when Mowbray says Roberts has lots to learn ... ... the bloke is twenty six! The way Mowbray has him playing has no doubt helped Amad to shine. Imagine if he'd gone on loan to Luton with a 'bright young English manager' playing endless long diagonals, fouling as a tactic and crosses to the big lads. Meanwhile 'Tony the Dinosaur' is flipping from two up front to the striker behind Pritchard and 3/4/5 at the back during games. I really laugh when people champion these young managers when they all play identical tactics from the 80's. How is Robins different from Edwards or Lowe ... ... only Carrick seems to have a clue imo, able to alter his tactics to the situation and improving players who've previously been left in the reserves. We all know exactly how Luton will play tomorrow and it's fkn tedious.
Looking forward to Leicester tonight. Proof for me sacking a coach isnt the right answer always. Rodgers to Smith, madness really. The way they, Southampton and Leeds have gone about management appointments is mind boggling.
Quite interesting that stuff with Howard Webb playing the audio between VAR and the onfield refs. Needs to happen more. VAR is still **** though.
Do you believe that KLD has the resources to take us to that next level? I know that sustainability is the model, and clubs like Brighton and Brentford are what we aspire to, but to really make a go of it you have to have investment. Seem to remember a post by you a year or so ago talking about how people in the same sphere as the LD family might starting getting involved as our profile grows. Do you reckon that is still the case?
Leicester have buckled here. Was a decent start but they are so fragile at the back. Liverpool should smell blood here.
Just said that to the bairn. Half waved his hand at it as a token gesture rather than a fully outstretched arm going for it. I think the Leicester players know they are ****ed tbh.
