Anybody on here know anything about Generators ? Looking at @Chief and @Tel (they/them) and anybody in the construction industry.

I need something that will power at least 2k for equipment that I use out at events etc. Been looking at those suitcase ones, mainly for portability and noise levels

But wondering if I should go full Apocalypse protection levels and go all out with a big **** off one (still needs to be portable though)

    Been looking at these ....

You could try looking at a power bank rather than a generator. Jackery have a good reputation, and you can get add ons like solar panels which might be of some use if your at outdoor events?

Yeah been looking at those. My brother has got one with those 100w solar panels but it's only 500w output and it's ****ing expensive. Ideally would like to go solar, but price and reliability ? I'm assuming that with a power bank you can charge it up at home and then supplement with solar at events ? But what sort of price would I be looking at for 2k output ?

Yes you charge it up at home and if you can use the solar to supplement the charge. Not sure on price, but expect it to be 4 figures.
