If Military Order is 4/1 for the Derby, Circle of Fire is no 66/1 outsider. More like 25/1 I would say

Absolute rubbish. It was NH that pushed out the Flat events at the Whitbread meeting.

You are beginning to sound like Dave Spart

Immediately after the race the King Edward VII was mentioned as Circle of Fire's next race.

Incidentally, growing up I seem to recall that race being called, occasionally, 'The Ascot Derby'. Then that moniker suddenly stopped and became obsolete. I note though that this name, this year, seems to have returned big time. Even Mr O'Brien, in an interview, last week called the King Edward VII Stakes - 'the Ascot Derby'. A big push by the Ascot Executive maybe to reinvent the race and make it more appealing?!? Anyone know???
