If they can just beat Liverpool then they can rest all their players for the last game of the season. No point taking them up to Newcastle for match week 37, just sit it out. The media are correct in their reporting when i see that Man City have a 4 point lead on Arsenal with 3 games to go and it's all about "they only have to win two games now" and pretty much game over. At the bottom of the table Forest have a 4 point lead and again it's reported as they've done enough now. However, Newcastle also have a 4 point lead with 3 games to go and it's squeaky bum time. Can't say i disagree, we're in prime position to mess this up now. No confidence in it whatsoever so could really do with Liverpool messing up. Thankfully I'm snowed under at work at the moment so barely had a chance to think about it this week or next - definitely for the best.
If it happens (and I'd put it at 50-50 at this stage despite the big lead we still have) then it will be genuinely hard to reconcile two facts: a) I didn't think we'd finish top 8 before a ball was kicked this season and would have snatched your hand off for 5th b) I will be hugely disappointed with 5th
See the Spurs fans have the deflector shields up to max and at least the Chelsea fans are taking their punishment and keeping quiet.
Brighton have more than deserved that, tbf. I left that game alone assuming Arsenal would win and had a few quid on Bologna.
