Scandi's always vote for one another, Denmark giving Norway 10 pts. lol. Eurovision created the term "homonationalism" which is when a country which has poor human rights records, or gets very low tourism because its seen as "backwards" would promote homosexuality, trans rights and such through Eurovision and say "nah, see, come visit and spend ur money" Azerbaijan famously winning and promoting a gay pride parade. When they got the tourney they flattened a block of flats and killed someone to build the stadium and open shops.
