The commentator referred to Trai Hume as "very similar to John Stones" today. It's a link I hadn't made, but its so true. He's genuinely a top level right sided centre back in a back three, or the right back into midfield in Pep's system.

Nicked from a fb page. The Stadium of Light tonight just as Sunderland AFC scored their second goal getting them through to the second leg semi finals. Right place right time

I watched the Luton players walking off that pitch today and I think they were genuinely shell shocked at the noise and thinking I want this.

Wow! What a day! Absolutely fantastic! Hats off to all the lads on the pitch but special recognition to Elwah, he was immense!! These kids just don’t know when they’re beat!! Started the day off at the deaf club and then onto the stadium, stopping by first to see my dads brick in the wall and ask him to wish us luck! Back home now, lush Chinese takeaway and now chilling in the hot tub with a beer! Bring on Tuesday! Ha way the lads!! ⚽️

Watched the entire game. What a team and what fans. 2 great goals to wipe out their scrambled effort. I hope Pritchard is OK, he's brilliant. But it was a brilliant overall effort by the team. Well done and I hope you stuff them at Luton

The reaction from the safc fans to the Luton goal was class. We cheered our team on louder than their celebrations

Immensely proud, again of this group.

Ekwah. Every game he goes up 6 levels what an absolute beast of a player we have on our hands here.

    Trai was magnificent.

We will score away so they need 3 to beat us. Let’s see what you got.

Credit to their fans encountered a few and seemed a great bunch, can’t credit their team who clearly wanted to kick and bully us early and the ref let them.

Quality has got us where we are. We showed it again.

Like I say, proud. Place was buzzing

Met up with @Smug in Boots @Gordon Armstrong @Whittylad before the game today. @Smug your boy is a lovely lad. Great catching up with you all.

what a day. What a football club we have. Those boys left it all on the pitch. Those fans left it all in the stands. What an atmosphere. What a game. Box seat at half time. 90 more great minutes on Tuesday and we return to the capital!! I love this club. I always have, but this season something feels different. It feels like the love has got stronger somehow!!

We'll always love Sunderland but there's so much to be proud of right now. From the top to the bottom of the club. The players are a cracking bunch who are full of life and the will to succeed.

The connection between the lads on the pitch and the fans is incredibly strong.
