I will need to see him play with Stewart (or his like) before I would have him stay.
No doubt he works hard, he is a 110%, but not that quick and very left-footed.

When Stewart scored at Wembley I didn't really know when the next amazing moment would be. These lads have delivered the majority of the season time and time again. My favourite Sunderland squad bar none. Luton should have finished it by 30 mins. These lads came back again and scored two belters. So proud of them. Ekwah immense but thought Pritchard was outstanding.

He'd be great with another striker of any note. That lad is going to have a great career.

We were fantastic today. As usual, we found a way to get it done. It's not even a talent thing (though we were much more talented) - it's an elite mentality, You saw it in the build up. Gooch grinning when he heard the atmosphere in the tunnel, O'Nien singing Ready to Go, Ekwah with a beaming smile. They enjoy the big occasions, they don't let the pressure affect them. We've come back from going behind so many times now, that heads don't drop. We know that if we keep going, the energy levels of the opposition will drop. This team is special!

As for performances, it's hard to pick between Hume and Ekwah for man of the match. They were excellent. I thought the whole team handled themselves well though.

The first half an hour is important on Tuesday now. If we don't concede early, the game will play into our hands as it goes on.

Fair comments, one thing he's got in his favour is that he can match the likes of Roberts and Amad with the intricate one touch stuff so he fits in well with our style of play. He's got quality.

Bloody great that mind. Always likely to concede a chance or a goal from a corner, but apart from kicking us to bits, Luton didn't impress me at all. I also think the atmosphere got to them in the second half.

Who knows . Another free hit in the week. The lads will have a great go at it whatever happens. They are a team, a squad and set up to be proud of.

A lot of excellence and resilience tonight. Pritchard fantastic. Ekwah and Neil are going to the top.

Perhaps its not just Chitty and Pep moving football on... but TM and Sunderland showing that a good skillful player will generally beat a big lump.
