See, now I thought what Llambias meant by that was that Puma needed a shirt sponsor. In order to begin the design process for next seasons shirt. Maybe them getting a new deal to make our kits, is based on them giving us designs on what the shirts would look like?

What do you make of Alan Pardew?

    SJH:

I don’t really know him so I cannot give an opinion. I know the owners of Southampton who sacked him. This season his results are no better than Chris Hughton.

    Well yes, actually they are...

Great interview to get some insight on the dealings, cheers <ok>

Northern Rock Newcastle United Sponsorship Deal Ended Early

Find it a bit sad to be honest, always thought the Northern Rock text was one of the classiest evergreen ad designs in the Prem

might have to be a slight design change as the shirt was designed around the northern rock, would ave been easier if they did it at the end of the season rather than half way through it! Hope we get something like o2 or sony, getting brown ale back would be a cheery on top of the cake but that would never happen!

To be fair I'd rather have my one that has Northern Rock on and a little out of date than a new one with pissing SportsDirect. If we had no sponsor I'd much rather have that though, I love shirts with no sponsor on.

I can see it being a Qatar based firm or even Russia. Thats where I would be looking cause of the world cups in 2018 and 2022. Its a long way off I know but Brazil has no money so 2014 is unlikely.

Theres some serious money in Qatar and thats where I think a sponsor will come from. There is no chance a UK based firm will sponsor us. Its just not gonna happen. O2 and Sony wont either.

I can see it being a betting website if not!

If "Sports Direct" was plastered on the shirts I literally don't know anyone who would buy them, if this happens then they are bigger fools than any of us could have anticipated

We'll probably get Bet365 or something like that - we all know how much MA and DL like betting.

I hope (if we do get a betting company) we get Skybet, it'll mean we'll be on TV loads...!

I can see MA using Sports Direct on the shirts for the rest of the season. Thats, if Northern Rock have pulled out for this season too, obviously.

He'll understand alot of people wont buy a shirt with SD on it. Cos, lets face it. He isnt that stupid, he's a multi millionaire. He hasnt got there by being daft has he? But, my point is, he'll just cut his losses and put SD on the shirts for the remaining season, purely down to most people already purchasing the shirt this year. Even with NR on the kits, not as many would get shifted in November/December than in July/August.

My biggest fear, along with Sports Direct. Is that we go for one of them Pay Day Loan Scam Artisits...sorry Companies.

Blackpool's kit would have been brilliant, if it wasnt for that bloody Wonga.com advertisement.

I still don't get it : why did we include a pull out clause for NR but didn't include a 1 yr notice to protect our ****ing asses? How are we gonna find a good deal in 2-3 months?
