There is a lot of funding coming into Burnley so it's the obvious move. Another team with the resources to compete. I suppose if more money comes into the PL at different clubs it will level out the playing field to some extent.
Brentford's Lee Dykes is being linked as a potential Paratici replacement. Anyone from Brighton, Brentford, RB's franchises, Ajax or Dortmund would be most welcome in my eyes.
Benfica or Porto too Basically anyone whose approach to scouting looks beyond Europe's top six leagues
They're now 8 points clear of PSV with 3 games left, so that's understandable. 1 win against the teams currently placed 11th, 13th and 15th and they've done it.
Oliver Glasner has announced he's leaving Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season ...and right on cue, Eintracht fans have been venting about his stubbornness, especially how he sticks with his core players regardless of form or fitness or options available on the bench. Now why does that sound familiar...?
I think he's a decent manager, but his teams start well and then struggle after Christmas. You can attribute some of that to focussing on Europe, of course.
Interestingly, when we sacked Conte they were 6th - they're now 9th They've played six games in that period, and picked up 3 points
A Bola state that Rui Pedro Braz will not be leaving Benfica to become our new DoF/sporting director/spaghetti carbonara
If we get Nagelsmann, I’m hoping this will provide clear evidence that Levy truly does have the club’s interest at heart. Yes, some of his decisions haven’t worked out but surely his affection for the club shouldn’t be in question.
I'm picturing the DoF interview process will be interesting As in, if they suggest Allegri, a trapdoor opens beneath the seat...
Latest news from the likes of Alisdair Gold and Dan KP is that we’re not interested in Nagelsmann. Well this is gonna be interesting on social media, especially with Poch to Chelsea almost being finalised.
Still plenty of solid candidates out there. At least 3 or 4 I'd be very happy with even though Nagelsmann was my preference. The challenge is to pick the right one and make every effort to ensure they don't clash at every turn with the DoF, something that was a huge issue under Santini and AVB. Hence getting the DoF in first makes so much sense and makes a mockery of the fact that we blindly persisted with Paratici for months on end in the faint hope that his ban would be overturned. He should have gone the moment the first ruling came through in late winter, with a new appointment in place by the March international break to observe the team and learn the club in the last third of the season. But as usual, we dallied and pissed about on a fool's hope and have therefore made no real progress on either front, save for a few "enquiries".
According to Romano it's the other way around But don't let that get in the way of Paul O'Queef's next 58 tweets...
He was never going to take the job at Tottenham... why would he when is stock is high...... Tottenham is the job managers take when their stock has fallen.
In other use, Sam Mokbel has suggested Roma's Tiago Pinto or Eintracht's Markus Krosche are now in the running to be our next DoF That would be the same Sam Mokbel who, just yesterday, said the following...
