    Spain this year, not France.

Missing it already, but hopefully a trip through Spain is something different from the usual Atlantic coast side of France.

Heading down from Santander to a place called Creixel, which is a bit south of Barcelona. Will have a day or two in Barca, but mainly be relaxing on the med beach. There doesn't seem to be much going on round there really.

Will have a stop in Zaragoza on the way down.

Taking the van down, yes. Not a car, so is a ****er of a drive.

Was thinking of a stop in Rioja region, or maybe Pamplona itself, on the way back. Will have to see if I've got a spare day.

I studied near Benicassim a bit down the coast from Barcelona. That whole coast is great before you get too far south and it’s full of Brits with Union Jack towels eating fry-ups.

Going Budapest on Thursday for my cousin’s stag do, back on Sunday.

Then gonna look a proper break around August/ September, somewhere in the Med ideally. I’m thinking Croatia/ Greece/ Cyprus but Spain could also be on the agenda as my Uncle’s recently bought a house in Los Alcazares so got a free holiday excluding flights.

**** Turkey, cheap and nasty place. Why not venture further afield and try the weed in India or Jamaica? Anything but Europe man, it’s ****.

I’ve heard Istanbul is good if you don’t support Leeds. Went to Fetiyhe (probably misspelt) as a kid and it was great.

Also forgot I’ve got Albania in July.

My mate went to Egypt and said you just can't walk down a ****ing street, they just don't **** off and leave you alone.

I have been all over the internet looking at holiday destinations to avoid and the number 1 has consistently been Egypt. Dirty, loud, desperate for money and overrated.

Yeah I can't say Egypt has ever appealed to me, I just imagine it as you described. It's like going to Orlando and claiming to love the American life, Villas that have been built on orange groves, some guy named disney and full of brits. Oh and every large person in a mobility scooter because they visited Shoney's too many times...

We'll be way further north than that, nearer Tarragona.

Still got the likes of Salou nearish if you need fish and chip eating brits, but won't be paying a visit.

This place looks a bit too quiet for me if anything, there seems to be **** all around bar and restaurant wise.

As an aside, my Mrs' best mate, who has been left by here husband, is joining us. With her two kids.

This at least give me the opportunity to **** off down the beach and find a nice bar with tapas so I don't have to listed to her endless whining about her bloody husband.

Dunno bout other areas but Antalya was great, nice town, cheap food and booze, nice beaches and parks, good transport, good people. Free dog companions too if u want <laugh>
Istanbul ive heard is horrible amd overcrowded.

Like a lot of places though you'll get annoying beggars, just ignore and they soon **** off

We went to Alanya, food was ****, locals in town were hostile, waiters, barmen etc only seemed interesting finding Kurt's to give a good kicking to and when the cops came, it was the Kurds that got arrested and most likely got beaten again.
