He could avoid controversy by clearly setting out the difficulties that he will sort out re: Brexit - without pushing a Return agenda. No-one in the country thinks B is going well, so even the RW media would have trouble spinning that.

If he doesn't publicly stand for anything that's not Tory policy he risks being considered a Tory by the elusive Red Wallers... Just not 'their' type of Tory - and they won't vote for him anyway. <laugh>

If he even mentions Brexit, then he risks the next election being another Brexit election.
Those haven't gone well for anyone.
The media would instantly turn it into Remoaner Starmer Steals True Brexit and we all know it.

A year ago maybe, but I think you overestimate the numbers of any public who don't realise that B has caused insurmountable problems.
The think the number is certainly less than the number of Labour voters who will be disenfranchised by his stance and vote LibDem or Green.

I think that everyone knows that Brexit was ****, but a lot disagree about why.
Even if you set covid and the war in Ukraine aside, many supporters think that it was just ****ed up.
They still don't believe that the whole concept is a mistake.

There's also quite a chunk of people that just want it to go away.
We all know that's not going to happen, but it's unpalatable for a lot of the electorate.
Another vote on the matter is seen as premature and would dominate any election.

Great news about Trump, fined only $5 million but I'm sure others will be encouraged to seek retribution now

No-one is suggesting a new vote. Full Rejoin is not an option for a decade at least and even then the UK will not recover it's preferential status. Customs Union membership would cure 90% of the current trade issues and wouldn't wind up the FoM debate.

The problem there is that anything other than a hard exit has been painted as No True Brexit.
Anyone suggesting anything less prior to the next election will be painted as a Brexit Heretic.

Those who supported Brexit will never see the government as the problem. If the EU was the problem before Brexit, then it still is in their view. If you never saw the benefit of being part of the EU, that blind spot will remain unless there is compelling evidence that any economic downturn or lack of growth or stagnation is directly due to Brexit. There is only anecdotal evidence - convincing to many of us, but not conclusive. Starmer knows that without it, blaming Brexit will turn off the red wall voters, whose only reason for voting Tory was their blind faith in Brexit. And the Coronation hasn’t helped, as it was a convenient excuse for all that jingoistic flag waving and chest beating, which fuelled Brexit in the first place.

    ****ing hell....<yikes>
I read down the list and gave up when I reached double figures! The 'actions' are so similar and consistent there's no way they've all made it up.
His defences are always the same too: either he didn't know them or why didn't they make complaints at the time.

But you just know that this recent judgement won't change the minds of the rabid cult that follow him. He will still get the Rep nomination - although I do think this will probably/hopefully kill any chance of him being reelected.

So when will Trump mint an NFT of him introducing himself as a registered sex offender to the neighbourhood around Mar a Lago?

You'd think Edward had retaken the Falklands on his own, by the medal haul. Not quit after 3 weeks for a life as a lovey in the theatre.

I believe Andrew earned his too. He however has a few items in the con side of the discusion.

I'm not sure that's accurate. They've arrested somebody. He may or may not be George Santos.

You'll note that those names are also on that indictment.
He failed to respond to George Santos on the House floor when it was called.
Also went by the name Kitara Rivache, allegedly:
