He will never leave Newcastle mate, nor do I want him too. Will always be a useful squad player, added points since he's a local, saw him that game he picked up the injury. Can't remember the opposition, he refused to come off even though he was paining, Tripps was screaming at him to come off, Sean just refused. Would run through walls for the club I think.
Maddison with Longstaff as back up would be a nice situation, and would allow us to put strong teams in the CL/Europa and Prem at the same time. Maddison, Tierney and Ward-Prowse would be 3 good main signings, then think about a poacher striker, and more squad players.
I'm sure I saw something a while back saying they were looking at 5-6 first team ready players in the summer - possibly more needed once you start shipping out the dead wood from the squad
Still think we need the sponsors. Champions league would help that side immensely. It isn’t critical champions league but it will make a massive difference to the speed at which we develop.
The people they have at the club are not silly enough to not do everything possible to capitalise on this season if we get champs league. It will be harder next year, this is our chance to use the leverage champs league gives you in all aspects. Maddison and JWP would be really good signings. It's a squad game at that level you need quality in numbers to be able to rotate / be tactically flexible. I'm not convinced on Tierney though. He's not available enough.
