I'm watching San Antonio, FC., one of the stops on the USA preseason tour. I think you will be disappointed. They are very bad, unwatchable, really; a far cry from A.S. Roma. The turf is cropped very short. At least the lights are guaranteed to stay on.

If we keep playing next season in the Championship I think the three teams that come will be more worried about us. However I still think the play offs are doable. Not over till it’s over HTL!!

Totally agree, but I think we need 6 wins and 73 points to do it. 71 might not be enough and we can't get 72. I'm just enjoying the conversation until we can't any more. It's been such an enjoyable and frustrating season in equal measure!

There’s a third game still to be arranged right? I’m hoping here in California :emoticon-0148-yes:

The third is North Carolina FC. I was hoping for something in the Midwest as well.

I felt for you lot the other day. I got home to watch the match at 2-3. Just in time to see your penalty. Then a cracking goal to make it 4-3. Gutted

Bump <cheers> I found it so strange how so many people gave up on top 6 after the Hull game...

... and some even gave up on 1st February :emoticon-0102-bigsm

They exceeded expectations and they deserve all credit. Had a great run of results going for us too.

Be interesting to see what the 6th place team finished on, in terms of total points over the last 5 year or so

Now's not the time for point scoring. Some fans are more patient than others and it will always be that way at every club.

Think we’ve all been guilty of thinking play offs we’re out of reach at some point, I know I did at half time yesterday :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I've no problem with different opinions or different hopes and expectations.

What I don't like is when optimists are mocked by pessimists who see themselves as realists ...

... if their 'reality' turns out to have been wrong they should expect a bit of mocking themselves.

Those who said we could make the playoffs turned out to be the real realists <party>

Doesn't make you a better supporter tho.
    Just means you're more optimistic!

I believe it does tbh mate.

The supporters at Preston kept going all game, even at 0-0 with Millwall coasting ...

... that definitely had any effect on the players and lifted them.

Do you think that would've been the same with 6000 pessimists ...

... perhaps there's a good reason for our away form being better than at home.

I believe we all have a responsibility, especially at games, to be on good form for those around us. If people at home games start whining I just get up and move.

In the last 2 seasons 69 would not have got into the play offs.

I could be wrong but I think we got in on 68 the Swindon year.

Might have been 72 like. Fuzzy memory now :emoticon-0100-smile.

We got 74 points that year - same as swindon
Getting 6th position with 69 points is quite rare
