Lets face it their is no cohesion or understanding and we are a bunch of misfits..... The team is not much better either
And where did all this shyt start? “While the squad was redesigned in the image of Marsch, the coach demonstrated little evidence to say he had the ability to make the best of it. Behind the scenes, concerns developed. His backroom staff lacked top-level experience and Leeds were particularly concerned by this after first-team coach Mark Jackson left the club for MK Dons. “The Athletic has been told that some within the club, who wished not to be named when speaking without permission, were not impressed by the quality of the team’s physical preparation or training sessions, with the drills, in the view of these people, excessively predicated around recovery of the ball rather than educating players in what to do once Leeds had possession.”
When will we get a proper coach and his staff at this club. We need a complete reset to make things work.
yeh I’ve heard that, heard similar from Leipzig where some players didn’t want marsch based on their prior experience of him. Not all of them, some speak highly of him too. The point is marsch’s system is built around winning the ball back in situations that create potential overloads where you then try and move the ball quickly - so the strategy to win the ball is the critical thing the players have to learn - the hope is they know how to then pass it to the free man! Maybe he relied too much on the hope bit! I’m not saying, and never have said I liked the system or the football… but it did lead to chances and it did stop a lot of opposition attacks at source which in my view largely protected a defence which has since been more vulnerable. To me the real weakness was how to combat sides that parked the bus… we have players built to play a high energy pressing game and lack the guile (and perhaps the coaching too, to break down low blocks). Forest away was a good example.. they got a goal from their only chance against the run of play. Then camped in their own half for the second half and we couldn’t threaten. Whichever, we essentially had midtable stats at pretty much everything except putting the ball in the net and keeping the ball out if it…The important bits. Are those important bits on the players or the manager? Well opinions differ on that as we well know
We have seen too many times this season that parking the bus is a strategy for many clubs. Seen scum struggling often, even Liverpool and City struggling to get through packed defences. These clubs have much better players than us and tend to beat it with long range stuff. So Marschball doesn’t work, just like it didn’t work for Ralf at Southampton which has put them in jeopardy too. The lack of fitness in this squad is obvious and Marsch did that after saying Bielsa overtrained our players. Everton counter attack last night killed BHA and their players were up for it and on it but they also parked the bus and made it hard to Brighton
Very special type of coach who cares more about the project of the club rather than the kudos and stature of the club. One with complete belief in his methods that he could improve the players and get promoted. Not many prepared to put their reputations on the line like that. Let’s see if a Rogers or a Potter would drop down to the championship.
Evening all No to Sam under any circumstances would be my vote, I don't really care too much though as I have lost all faith in the board being able to make the right decision. Roll on the end of the season, I need a break from the ****
Bamford has deactivated his twitter account because of abuse he has received about the Leicester miss. We were all mad about that, we all worry how much it could cost us, we all know he should have done better. Does anybody think he doesn't know all that himself? Bamford seems one of the few players who actually cares and I bet he has replaced that moment over and over again. A sad indictment of modern society and social media as once again the morons win.
He’s never been prolific has he Hemase is right though… social media is full of pondlife. Directly abusing players is wrong on many levels. Even if people think it’s clever to abuse someone, it ain’t going to make them play better… it’s not going to make them want to go the extra mile for the cause. So ‘fans’ dishing out abuse are being counter-productive to what they’re supposedly supporting.
I really don't care about the feelings of an overpaid under performing pampered posh boy. But I do agree that there are a lot of scumbags on Twitter.
