You can tell from the general attitude of the fanbase with some of the things they say that they feel as though they can always refer back to their title winning season in order convince themselves that they have got nothing to prove. The owners seem to have a similar attitude and so do the players…they all feed each other. This comfort zone has taken their eye off the ball and they have been on a downward spiral ever since in their league standings since that title winning season if you stand back and take a good look was listening to the radio last night and a Lesta fan was like ‘we are Lesta, we are elite’ when questioned regarding their **** season Saw it with my club too..reached the CL final and our owner thought point proven…we’ve got what it takes just need the right management…stopped investing in the squad at a pivotal time. Pride before a fall seen it all before
YEah its just bad management really, especially since they have been doing well financially too. Didnt they pay between 500k and 750k for players like Mahrez and Kante and sold both for over £30m? They even convinced our insane management to part with £30m for Danny ****ing Drinkwater, so they have no excuses for not reinvesting that sensibly back in to the squad. The league title was something they were never gonna repeat but they should be able to stay in the PL and challenge for the odd cup. Relegation is ridiculous, and inexcusable.
Leicester's outgoing were always way above the income they generated. Players were on inflated wages and more than the club could afford. It was never sustainable and they've got FFP knocking at the door, now. It isn't going to end well. I can see the current owners bailing on them. It brought them the league and cup, though. Worth it, imo.
But the players they have now are not worth big wages, Vardy I can understand putting him on 150k a week or whatever for all he has done for the club, but players like Ndidi and Harvey Barnes shouldn't even be on half that. Ryan Bertrand and Vardy alone take up a quarter mill a week in wages and both are well past their prime and should have been moved on and replaced with players in their early 20's on a fraction of the wage. Jan Vestegaard is on 75k a week and he was relegated to the reserves ffs.
Never tried it you know, seen it in the shops obviously and thought "hm, do I?" But never bothered. Guiness on the other hand? Tried it plenty of times and it's like a cup of muddy dirty water. Never met and Irish man who likes it personally.
Soz bro missed that one. That **** Chelsea bought in midfield for about £110m also. And Sterling. And Felix Navidad. Basically the whole Chelsea squad.
