Despite what league we're in next season the development of this lad excites me. We've finally found our Patrick Viera in midfield hopefully
I thought like many others Ekwah was just immense....and my MOTM. First half the tempo was a bit slow for me but when we upped it in the second half we certainly seem more comfortable with that. With the 1 - 2s buzzing about Preston couldn't touch us. There wasn't a poor performance from us on the pitch today. Yes, Gelhardt took some stick for missing that chance but to me for a forward I would be more concerned if he wasn't in those positions to miss. The lad works his nuts off and set up Clarke for the third one which killed the game. We have momentum and are on a roll at the right time. Liked the look of the young defender Anderson when he came on.......just needs to eat a few more pork sandwiches and he will be fine. Watching the game here 6,000 miles away seeing the fans and the support was very emotional.....more so when the cameras showed that Blackburn went ahead at Millwall.....just unbelievable. I salute the 6,000 traveling fans today. You did a remarkable job getting our team over the line...... absolutely magnificent. Truly a very memorable day...one for us old guys.
Strong coffee needed. Worth it. Unbelievable performance and Blackburn helped us out. We deserve it for the run of games and injury depleted squad finding a way.
The stars are definatley aligning...we're about to set off on the ferry to the Outer Hebrides...Four years ago we were out here when we faced Portsmouth in the playoffs and we got to the final then and were going to go that one step further this time. It is written I tell you all HTL.
On a more prosaic note, any news of the injuries to Gooch and Cirkin? Are any of the other injurie players near to returning?
Great to hear Pritchard get some rare praise yesterday. He's not a favourite, like Amad or Clarke, but he makes a big difference to the team and provides a spark when things are flat. Neil, Ekwah, Ba, etc, can win challenges, move the ball, backtrack, etc, but Pritchard has the ability to set off a bit of panic in their defence ... ... like dropping a Jack Russell into a rats nest
Pritchard kept asking the fans what the scores were in the other games when the goals were going in for us. Having full on conversations while celebrating
Prichard was immense yday. Complete class act. No one in our squad links the play and knows the 10 role better.
