Tagliatelle, tomato and balsamic sauce, asparagus and parmesan topped with an aged lump of onglet (if you've not tried it, find it - you won't be disappointed). Wild garlic butter toast. Wild garlic flowers.

Bootiful. Wife and eldest child pleased with the outcome.

Nah the onglet is a scruffy looking bit that lurks about just off the back of the fillet. Traditionally a butchers cut, as it’s a bit scruffy looking for restaurants, but it’s becoming a bit more popular nowadays. Skirt steak would be like a bavette. A wider, flatter cut. This is like a little barrrel of meat.

Wild garlic flowers are for real men Again, if you’ve never tried em you won’t know but they taste amazing - mildly garlicky. Excellent in salads but you can only find em for a few weeks a year. **** loads grow near a river I walk along with the kids so we pick en and freeze the leaves but keep the scapes in the fridge for a couple of weeks.

Pizza day today, so I’ll try to remember to take a few photos this time.
