That was very disappointing, full house too. One thing I haven’t seen for a while, Willock putting in tackles and shouting at team mates to join the press. The bloke next to me reckoned he had some scouts there. The other thing I haven’t seen for ages - no attempt to run on the pitch at the end! All change for next season I hope.
Terrible game, no tactics or real effort. Looking forward to a clear out but if that doesn’t include SLF our owners clearly have no ambition. If I was GA I’d go back to Wycombe and beg for my job back.
Really struggling to see where we go from here, looking at the crap we've endured this year and the lack of either finance or players that would fetch even modest sums we're surely going to be favourites for the drop, especially if the tactics are as primitive as we've seen recently. Plymouth and Ipswich are far better than us and the playoff teams are no mugs, we'll do well to finish 23rd with this standard of anti-football...
Back home. Odd, I had zero expectations from today, but thought it would be quite chilled simply because we were already safe. In fact it was rather depressing. Spiritless ****. Record number of home losses in a single season. Further thoughts on the Whatever happens..next season thread.
I heard him say he wanted to look again at players who will be out of contract now end of this season. He did play Amos who is out of contract instead of Tim. He also started Albert and brought on Willock though we have a years option on both of them I think.
Well, that’s another season of football done and dusted. Summary - The positives were, we survived, that’s all that matters. Take care one and all.
Likewise but I'm sorry you had to watch that pony with your lad. I missed the episode in this link completely. The second most exciting thing after meeting up with friends. Hearing that Mark Prince had been to the training ground to give a motivational speech made me genuinely wonder whether he was responsible for the upturn that saved us from the drop. I stayed til the end as I wanted to see if there were any signs of players who might be waving good bye but it was all rather polite and tame and perhaps slightly embarrassing given how badly they've played since October 22. The only real cheer was for Albert and maybe Sam Field. I will be renewing next year but fully expecting a ST price hike. With the cost of everything spiralling up, it's inconceivable that they will freeze prices this year even though the performance merits exactly that. As to the game itself, nothing to add to a nothing game! No doubt I will start next season with huge hope and optimism until 5pm on Aug the whatever when reality will kick in. Either way, COYRsssss!
I think you'll find that to be a remnant of the piss-poor effort of our team in this game and this season in general. SPORTS GALORE | October 21, 2017 Piss off! Football player gets five-game ban for urinating on pitch By Agence France-Presse An Italian footballer who was banned for five matches for urinating towards rival fans will appeal the decision, his club said on Thursday. Actually, we were ****e most of the season. 'Nough said
Well done Rangers fans for singing the National Anthem loud and proud. Not everyone obviously, but it wasn't drowned out by boos. I did picture Stan and Stroller, holding hands, singing kum-by-a and holding placards though
Well that's that then,a totally forgettable season which ruined most of our weekends. Yes the positive, and the only positive is that we luckily survived. Dreadful football, dreadful management. There was a time when QPR meant free flowing football played on the floor, with a swagger, ike it should be,which is why I support them(over 50 years) If we still persevere with SLF then we will get the same crap served up next season, and more than likely be relegated. I'm hoping for a clear out of the deadwood dross asap, which wont happen(players and upper management)as I can't stomach paying good money to watch this tortuous style of play under the guise of the beautiful game.
What a poor performance to end the season. Almost a snapshot of everything bad about us. Thank God it’s over! Has to go down as one of the worst ever. Not just the terrible home losses but the really awful attitude of the club seems to have hit fans hard (yet the most determined still turned up - showing the true heart of the club is with its fans). We will all be watching/cowering to see what the summer does to our club and building up our ‘hopes’ for a better full season from August through to May. Thanks all 606’ers for sharing this annus horribilus through all our opinions and debates. Good luck GA - you’re going to need every ounce of belief.
The obsession with SLF continues in ever more deranged fashion I see, bizarre stuff that a guy sat in the stands is seen as more culpable than the guys who take to the field each week. Not that there isn't blame to apportion in the DoFs direction but Warbs, Moley and Critchley were all SLF appointments so surely that speaks to the type of football he would rather us be playing. GA was a desperation appointment by committee, blaming SLF squarely for the agricultural football served up since Ainsworth has been in charge is nonsense. Where Les has arguably failed most is the youth development but that **** doesn't just happen over night. Personally I hope you get your wish and he goes, wouldn't blame him, but you might find the issues are much deeper than one man. **** what a depressing end and a depressing future to look forward to.
