What a team, what a manager, what an owner but our support is absolutely unbelievable!! I wasn’t there but sitting in my living room watching those scenes at the end gave me shivers and I actually shed a few tears. Whatever happens this team is going places and it’s a pleasure to be part of it. Nobody will want to play us and if we can produce that level of attacking play over the next 3 games then we will be back where we belong. Enjoy your night ladies & gentlemen we are back !

I heard that too. Think he pretty much told Man U they could piss off cos he wasn’t ever going back and would pay his own contract up to be here next season because he was going to refuse to play for them even if he was the first name on the team sheet.
Well that’s my interpretation of what he said anyway.

    On The Irish myself.

Absolutely loved the game today. No one can say we're not brilliant to watch. Gobsmacked at the talent and understanding between our players.

What a performance and what a season.

We are the team of the season and Mowbray is the manager of the season, don't care what the official awards were. For a manager to take over part way through the season, have so many key injuries yet get these type of performances while playing attractive attacking football out of the youngest average squad across all leagues is nothing short of brilliant.

Mowbray deserves all the credit in the world. I suspect a lot of coaches would have bleated on about injuries and allowed it to become an excuse for the players. Instead he has acted like a coach should, find the best way to let your players perform. He is a real football student as well, and it shows.

You can tell these players would run through a brick wall for him. I know we are a wonderful attacking side but the hard work they put in is unreal. Jack Clarke is a perfect example. He has so much talent but watch the miles he puts in with it. He must cover more ground than any of our other players. Pritchard at 30 puts his all in to every performance, like it was his last. ONien is an absolute warrior. Hume will do everything in his power to stop the cross or the shot. These are lads that have either had a tough start to a career or played at a lower level. They are talented lads but I think Mowbray is showing that hard work alongside that talent makes a huge difference. He is the perfect coach for them. So many of these lads have grown this season, lads like Clarke, Neil, Hume have probably crammed in 2 seasons worth of experience. It is exciting to think how many of these young lads are going to have brilliant careers. Enjoy every minute of them I do.

Everybody's emotions are going through the roof tonight. Everyone is enjoying watching this team and I agree that any other manager would whine about the number of injuries the team has but Mowbray has taken the challenge on and keeps getting results.

I will probably be talking rubbish in an hour or two (more than normal!). Don Goodman, who is normally a bit of a misery about us, couldnt stop talking about or style of play, our young lads and how good Mowbray has been. It was almost like he enjoyed watching us at last. I am raising a glass to Don now, because I really liked him when he played for us.

Seriously, it's weird. There is nothing better or more enthrallingly than live sport (mainly Sunderland but ive had similar experiences with the Ryder Cup, The Ashes etc), even though, in reality, it's inconsequential. If we want to control A.I. and make it understand why we're the most important thing on the planet we need to train it on sport. It's the most human thing we have.

It is emotion mate. That ability to feel something nobody can see. It is that sense of community, being in it together, whether on here or at the match. Unites us like nothing else really. AI will never be able to have that. Take the experience of emotion away and you have nothing. Plus I bet machines never enjoy a lovely drop of malt like we do <laugh>
