Just making mostly uneducated guesses on our chances of getting the full 9 points remaining. Leicester away. It's away. Leicester stink, but don't stink as bad as they did earlier in the season. I'd give our odds about 2/3 chance of winning. Villa home about the same.. 2/3 chan'ce of winning. Villa have had a decent season but it's home so I have optimism. Soon about 3/4 chance of all three points. Maybe a little higher chance, they're dreadful. So doing the maths... my totally meaningless and uneducated guess is we've got about a 1/3 chance of picking up all 9 points remaining and a 2/3 chance we will get a draw or loss in one of the last three games. If we have any chance at all to get top four we need all 9 points. (And even that might not be enough)... So I put our total chance at getting top 4 to be somewhat less than 33%.
what do we need utd to do? win 2 draw 2 at best? it's marginally more possible but look at their games. what about newcastle? win 2 lose 2?
Well they have to still be in the race yeah? Bournemouth let the worst cheslea side in 25 years have 3 goals so that says where they are at imo the second Brighton are out of it they will drop right off.
Premier League Top 4 Finish 22/23 (Skybet) Newcastle. 1/8. Manchester Utd. 2/7. Liverpool. 15/8. Brighton. 12/1.
Way I see it, they'll beat Everton today but after the following 2 games they'll be out of the top 4 race. Then they have Saints which they'll win, lose to City and then I expect the last game between them and Villa to be a stormer as the winner will snatch Europy Conference.
Yes, shows somewhat good the chance, but of course bookies aren't so much about odds of winning, but formulas on how the bookie makes money, as such big teams with lots of optimistic fans tend to get represented as having unrealistically high chance of doing well.
I'd say team spirit in Leicester is in the toilet. maddison after game "Conceded five goals, what do you think? We have players who can score goals, we have threat and creativity, we scored three goals today. We can't defend like we did, that is why we are where we are but it not just the defence, it is the team. You defend as a team. The team needs to be watertight and that comes from the front too. i read that like, "not my fault I did my bit but defence is ****e but oh yeah well throw you a cliche to make it sound likes it's not so obvious" they scored 3 but the game was well over so I don't know if Fulham really gassed off. we really really really need to take our chances there and just try have more control over the game. it was so end to end v Brentford with 4 up.
Everton take the lead after 1 minute, I fear they have suffered premature goalscoring and will now get hammered and not be able to perform again tonight!
There's a little bit of regret at Everton leading... Obviously, we need Brighton to drop points so Everton winning is the desired outcome... There will just be a little sadness that accompanies the elation though as Everton climb out of the drop zone.
