Had every opportunity today to show he is not a one trick pony, alas not. The days of watching Stewart Houstons amazing tactics are back with us, oh joy
So if Reading had no 6 point deduction, and if Cardiff had got a point today, we would have all been on 50 points, with us relegated, having the worst (equal to Wigan) -27 GD!
Dispirited and dispiriting in equal measure. With the possible exception of giving Willock another chance after his injury, there is no one in today's squad that I want to see play for the club again. This includes obvious candidates like Dozy Dozzell and Lowly Lowe but also the much overrated Field. Shockingly poor throughout the squad and not fit to wear the hoops. Les Ferdinand really should resign if he had any pride. Grrrrr.
I feel the mistake we've made is not performing the Haka on the pitch before kick off. The opposition would be pissing themselves laughing so much, we could catch them for an early goal
What a **** season, thank god its over. Lots of crap stats to come, but would it be as bad to finish it like this ...
Well......I can confirm that Gasball is every bit as **** up close as it is on TV. 4-4-2 kick and hope. One big forward trying to flick on to another big forward. Two in the middle of midfield, leaving acres for them to look like ****ing Real Madrid. Amos, ****ing Luke Amos!! He is just terrible. Albert is ****ed. Ainsworth kept us up, just, but God help us next season. We didn't stay to clap!
Silence is golden here.............have a great summer everyone, my partner Wendy stills wants to experience an R's home match some time, with a pre-match visit to the Crown & Sceptre for lunch and then a post-match celebration with the Irish R's at the Coningham Arms. I have my one and only cousin living on the Isle of Wight, so perhaps we will make a trip of it, rather than just a quick in and out as was the case for my last Nov 23rd, 2013 visit when we beat Charlton 1-0 with a fantastic Charlie Austin goal scored just before half-time at the opposite to our School end
I'm sure GA said something about looking at some other players in the squad today so to turn up with essentially the same line-up again and even worse the same horrible ****ing tactics was really poor. I suppose one positive is that expectations for next season will be so low it'll be hard to fail.
Well that about sums up our season after that display, thank god the seasons over & now for a big clear hopefully
Where there's life, there's hope. We're the only hoops in the Championship next season, and it'll be an interesting summer seeing how our squad is transformed. Some young, talented, athletic and hungry players please, Gazza.
Judging him by the appalling yardstick of the other players is no judgement at all. Take a look at pass completion and tackle stats in midfield to see how awful we are.
Well thank goodness that's over. Other than a flurry of activity when we had 3 goal ward shots blocked and an absolute nailed on penalty not given late on..we were useless. Only Field, Dykes, Chair and Paal put in a shift.. several others were too old to move, a load could not be bothered. Not looking forward to next season, this has already been our worst home season in living memory. Next season we have to make savings to say within FFP, and win a few matches.. An impossible task...but I will be there, have no choice. Doh!
I disagree, we give the opposition enough to pi55 themselves laughing at with our 20-30% possession and complete lack of shots on goal.
