And so it ends. A sorry (no pun intended) end to the season. The signs were there in the team selection with Ojo and Teflon starting. No choice but to play Simpson. Looks like most, if not all, our shots on target were from Philogene. He will be some player, unfortunately not for us.
Season ending with a whimper. All eyes now on VT for our next steps regarding manager etc. If Smoochie does get the job long term he'll need to work some real magic somehow. I still maintain we have the basis of a decent enough squad but not one that's going to trouble the top 10 next season without major injection of new blood. Still, we lick our wounds, regroup and go again in the second tier, which isn't to be sniffed at. I'm currently sparing a thought for Millwall (ouch) and also congrats to Robbie...
