11 lads are going to take to the field in Hull City colours (MY teams colours) against Derby County on November (thanks Chazz) 19th. Frankly much that I loved N Pearson, he's gone, done, history. Not sure who will get the managers job, if indeed anyone will by then. Not sure I can really influence that decision too much. Lets move on and start focussing on letting those 11 who will play v Derby, know that we are right behind them. Thats one thing I can influence by making some noise next weekend. I for one am not about to give up on them. Are you?
I don't think anybody is giving up on the team mate. AA is hoping to have a manager in place before we face Derby, but if not, then I'm sure Barmbs can get us a win. Also, welcome back Cameron Stewart. How we've missed your awesomeness.
the away end at derby will be rocking i reckon, especially if barmby is in some sort of caretaker role,..the shackles will be off and all fans can give 100% to all involved, without an underlying dislike of the guy in the dugout!...
I'm willing to give him a second chance. Besides, if he's manager that'll hopefully mean he won't be playing as often.
I put some thought in the prospect of Barmby being next manager, long before Pearson quit. I think he's a bit of a dick at times, but at the end of the day, he's a City fan, he'll want to be here and he'll no doubt want the club back in the PL, rather than being satisfied with midtable mediocrity.
Looking forward to being there, need to get the team onto the pitch again. Lost without a weekend game, hopefully can still avoid the shops.
I know what you mean. My girlfriend reckons we're going to do the fish trail in town tomorrow. God I hate international breaks!
Barmby does ok another club comes in , is Barmby instant villain, listen theres no loyalty in football your kidding yourself if you think there is get real mate it's only the fans that are loyal mate , whether your foxes or tigers fans or what were the ones who it hurts the most.
There's certainly very little loyalty in football nowadays, but Barmby is a bad example, he took a 90% pay-cut to go from the Premier League to the bottom division, just because we were the club he'd always supported. When he first came to City, he was playing balls to other Premier League players, but we didn't have any and it was almost surreal to watch. He doesn't need the money, he loves the club and given the job, I couldn't see him leaving unless he was sacked. That might sound like I'm being naive, but I think Nicky loves the club as much as any poster on this board and that's a very rare thing in football nowadays.
