We'll make Wolves, Chelsea ffs!! and Fulham look good in those home games. In all honesty if we're to stand a chance we need Garnacho back and to his best. I genuinely believe he's the difference for us now.
Didn't see any of the gane tonight but was screaming for him to be subbed on whilst reading sky live txt
Yourhome form is fine. Play wolves are now safe and their away form is dire. Plus chelsea are still chelsea. No chance you’re not winnng those 3 home games. As I say neecastle more likely to drop enough points with their fixtures tbh
We play our next game before you play yours. If we win that means we stay above you regardless. If we fck that up and you win and go above us, even with us having a game in hand, it's over imo.
See post above. I'm keeping an eye on the teams we've yet to play and Wolves looked alright against a decent Villa side. I think teams know we look weak at the back and have done since Lisandro got injured. So Wolves will have their chances. And we're struggling to score.
I genuinely still think you will do it but I do think Garnacho is crucial Tbh I thought Martial was going to equalise when he glided through He is a weird one - loads of talent and yet just off the mark a tad
I don't get why he didn't come on. It all smacks of an all round feeling from everyone at the club looking at these games and thinking 'never mind we've still got the next few to get the points'.
The trouble is the next few are getting fewer and we still have cup games to keep consistent in including a final (possibly 2). Once you lose the rhythm it's hard to switch back on
To be honest we still have to win 3 games and our away form this year has been shocking. Even in our mini revival, only just getting by so away to Leicester will be a tough game. Then home to villa who are going well and away to saints - who knows what their situation will be. Still 2 months ago we were fighting for 8th with Chelsea so all can ask is we do what we can and be ready to take advantage shoukd either you or newcastke **** up. Still think you’re safe though. As I say wolves can’t win away from home and Fulham will be on the beach last game. Chelsea still look very poor and even your away game v Bournemouth looks to be a dead rubber for them now.
For all of us. Though I never thought we'd be within a million miles of being involved in such, so a bit of a blessing. Still rather be in your place than us or Newkie though.
I think it's pointless looking at the quality of the opposition, because no game in the PL is a foregone conclusion. I think it's more to do with whether or not you can hold your nerve - having looked a dead cert a few weeks ago and it's now back in the mixer. The importance of confidence and momentum can't be over-estimated. Though I still think you'll do it.
The problem is not confidence, there is a lack of intensity and commitment now where as for most of the season we have had an abundance of both. Something has gone wrong and I just hope it's nothing more than fatigue after so many games close together.
