Idols maybe… but no one idolises a manager. Go up to kids and ask who their idols are, they’ll say Salah, TAA, vvd, Bruno, Isak… no one is saying Eddie Howe and klopp are their idols and they want to grow up to be like them. And even so, most people know right from wrong and will see what they are doing and if it’s wrong will know that. I’ve never seen anyone actually do something and say, well I say X do that on tv so assumed it was ok? And if they do and their kids, a good coach/parent will call them out on it and teach them that’s not the way to behave. So yes. Kids may learn from idols, but strongly believe that parents/friends play a much bigger role in behaviour than a manager they see on tv once a week.
Ps, calling Chris Sutton a journalist is stretching it a bit. might be wrong, but don’t think he’s any more qualified journalist than I am . Same can be said for numerous others who just because they played football think their opinion is some what more worthwhile and important than anyone else’s and therefor must be true
Most other owners didn't demand the PL stop our takeover and then gather a little gang together. Most other owners didn't slyly try to start a super league. Most other owners didn't have private contact with BeIN sports to kick off about the potential takeover. Most other owners didn't try to screw over the EFL by holding it to ransom. Most other owners don't demand additional voting rites for PL meetings. Most other owners don't go crying to UEFA asking for historical placements for CL in-case you don't get in one year. Most other owners aren't ****ing dumb enough to suggest scrapping promotion and relegation. Also most countries produce Fossil fuels and the tension between the US and Saudi was recently caused as Saudi refused to increase its barrel price of crude oil which Biden had demanded. Also, Saudi can't just click its fingers and change everything in a day, a week, a month or a year. This **** doesn't work like that when its part of their religion. It would be like everybody here being able to do whatever you like then the next day not being allowed to smoke, drink, gamble, have kids, **** anyone other than your wife etc. It would be utter carnage especially for the elder members of society.
All deflection imo. I loved watching Liverpool in 80's and 90's in Europe. Wanted them to win cos they represented the English league. Was happy to see them win the PL cos the football was incredible. But recently, I don't know why, maybe your manager's antics and comments, have started to grind on me and many other fans. Got nowt to do with your success by the way. Good on you. But Klopp has crossed the line quite a lot. If he has been trying to create a us versus them mentality then it has worked. Liverpool fans love their team, everyone else doesn't. So I guess congratulations are in order if that was the plan!
Because we don't like your club and want to conquer the big 6 and crush it into oblivion. In all seriousness though when you see a club getting favours and you're toppling that empire it's annoying.
The way Klopp abuses officials is a further shameful episode in the history of LFC imho. Scousers used to hammer Man when they surrounded the officials which is in hindsight a bit rich. a lot of fans I think hate the club due to some of their fans vile behaviour at Heysel and the resulting ban for ALL English clubs. Call me old fashioned but elements of one fan base, at that moment in time wrecking it for the rest of the league isn’t going to go down too well…. And a lot of fans remember. I remember quite a few LFC fans got done for manslaughter too. https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/english-football-clubs-banned-from-europe
