I still haven't changed my opinion of moving Holland back up to opening. I'm not sure we can continue with Organ.
For me it's a no brainer. Donald in for Organ and move either Holland or Prest to open. It may not massively improve things up the order but it does bring in a dangerous lower order batsman.
Obviously it depends how quickly/slowly we score our runs, but I wouldn't be surprised if Warks end up needing to chase, say, 70 runs off 10 overs. (Which is that was to be the equation, you would expect Warks to achieve such a chase.) I'm not wholly confident about out ability to bat out the day for a draw. And if we are bowled out, then unless we go along at a decent rate, there probably isn't enough time to get a lead of 130 or 150.
Ball is moving about, and Warks have an excellent opening pair of bowlers. In English conditions, Rushworth-Woakes is a contender for the best opening pair in the country. Our fault isn't this innings. It's our awful bowling on Friday afternoon, when we let Warks get about 150 too many. Barnard and Burgess should never be getting almost 200 between them.
I missed Organ's wicket, but the five since then have all been great bowling. I'm not sure fault can be attributed to the batters. Just excellent, excellent bowling. It's only five points we're missing out on today.
I'd say their batting is one of the weakest in the division. Far too reliant on the two openers and Hain. It was embarrassing the runs we let Barnard and Burgess score, who are only marginally better than Barker and Fuller - and yet bat two places higher up the order. Woakes they will presumably lose to England for much of the season (I hope!). And that will be a huge loss.
